**** in Cleanup

Yeah, I like **** in the lineup but slotting him in the cleanup position is also a head-scratcher for me. I thought Barnes should have moved up in the order but he hasn't gotten going in this series just yet either.

Hill's one of those pitchers that seems to get better the more pitches he throws... Like he can throw himself into a groove and once he's there, his comfort level seems to go up and he just becomes a machine...

I certainly felt that way about Hill's peformance in his last game in the NLDS against the Diamondbacks.

Puig Thrown Out Trying to Steal 2B

Post#753 » by Ranma » Mon Oct 16, 2017 1:02 am

Man, I thought Puig had that steal. I have to tip my cap on that throw by Contreras and tag by Baez.

can't hate on him for trying to steal there. even if charlie got on base, it would be Hill up with two outs. stealing the second would have given us a chance to score a run if Charlie got a single.
ehhhhh f it.

I don't mind puig getting tagged there... I'd rather that than another fly-out... Culberson's been more lucky than good so far so, might as well send him.

My Unfortunate Premonition

Post#757 » by Ranma » Mon Oct 16, 2017 1:06 am

I literally had a feeling Baez Russell was going to hit that home run right before it left the yard.

Addison Russell did this last year.

Lie dormant and then devastate with big homers.

1-0 seems like a daunting task given we keep letting Lester off the hook.
