I came back from picking up food and saw that he loaded the bases in the 9th inning. I heard he got the first 2 batters in the inning but apparently struggled right after. I didn't anticipate that we'd bring him back after this season, but I figured he'd at least be serviceable in his walk year.

**** Slow Seager cant go 1st to home on Puig's double with 2 outs so the Rays still lead 1-0.

Alex Wood makes good pitches to Souza.

ump gives him none of them.
3-1, he has to throw a strike. goes breaking ball.

2-1 Rays.
Very annoying. He hadnt been hittable after that 1st HR.

Unbelievable.

Now I have to hear about how this guy can't get through the 6th inning again.

Tampa Bay's bullpen almost let us back in but the Dodger bats are coming up empty.

Coleman was going just fine.

Got the 1st 2 outs of the 7th.
Dave goes to Liberatore for the Left on lefty matchup and he promptly lets all 3 men get on base and now Donaldson is up.

Sure, when Donaldson hits this grand slam, we're going to blame the bullpen or Blanton for not getting the outs.
But Dave should have let Coleman get the 3rd out. There was no need to overthink that one and go L on L for the number 8 hitter in their lineup.

and to add to that, it was the right move, but Adam was due. you can't keep up more than a month long of not giving up a run between AAA/majors no matter how good you are. glad Dave had the sense to bring up Joe right there.

and now we just have got to go crush Floyd.
ehhhhh f it.

I disagree. It was the light hitting 8 hole hitter who had a right handed bat coming up right after him in a tie game.
He could have blown the Liberatore card after Barney for the lead off hitter.

He over managed it.
Just like he over managed putting Smoak on there. Boom.
Woulda been great to have Liberatore there instead of blowing him on the 8 hole hitter.
