I would have preferred to keep Alexy since I really like his gamer attitude and progress of late, but I can't complain about the return. Drafting Marinan basically fills the void with a somewhat similar prospect profile.

I think we did amazing with the deals!
My only trepidation is that we were playing so well, there was really only one way to go... I worry about trades like this knocking the wheels off our momentum, and I didn't really think we needed Darvish...

But again, for what we gave up... Why the hell not?!

that makes two of us.

Willie had no defensive position to play in NL anyway.

AJ Alexy is a big IF.

Brandon Davis was never gonna see the infield for the dodgers in next 5-6 years with Cody-Taylor-Corey-Justin with **** trenched in deep as the super utility man.

I thank Brian Cashman for not giving in with Gray's cost. once the Yanks set the tone and not giving away their top guys, the market was established.

also, I don't think he is just a rental. we will make an offer. Yu is right now 3 years younger than Greinke, will be a year younger than when Greinke was a free agent the last time. we didn't want to give Zack that extra year. well, Yu is coming in spotting us that year.

Kershaw - Darvish - Wood - OTANI - Hill. and we are gonna still have McCarthy - Ryu - Maeda in the back pocket.

Watson is very underwhelming as a closer or even as a set up man, and Cingrani isn't good to leave in there for more than an out... but if you use them strictly as situational lefties to set a single batter out in a key moment, they should excel. I really think we are going into the playoffs with minimal 12 pitchers, and more likely IMO 13 pitchers. we will carry at least 3 bullpen lefties but I would say it is more likely to be 4. if you have 4 playoff starters and 9 bullpen arms, you can afford 2 out of 4 lefties to be a one out guys. it is early, but my guess for the post season pitching corp will be

Kershaw / Darvish / Wood / Hill as the 4 starters then

Jansen / Morrow / Baez / Field / Kenta /Ryu / Avilan / then 2 out of Brock+Ross+Tony+Tony

of course, there is a chance that Tony and Tony fall flat on their faces and neither makes the playoffs roster.

Gotta be honest here.

Is there a single person that the new FO has sent out that you wish we had back?

You can look back to the start of their tenure. I don't think I can find one. Doesn't mean I think every trade was just an A+ but it's just a fact. I don't think I miss a single player they've sent out.
