how sweet would it be if we are the ones to knock the GIants out of the wildcard all together? regardless of the record, I would think that Cardinals being the divisional rivals to the Cubs, would put up a valiant fight and if it is the Mets, oh well.

Not the way I wanted us to head into the postseason by being swept by the Giants. I'm also not liking the news that Ethier made the postseason roster as I still resent his blow-up from last season. Timely hitting was missing, which has been a problem for the team in the recent past. In any case, I like our chances against the Nationals with reports that right fielder Bryce Harper may be nursing a nagging injury while catcher Wilson Ramos is being looked at with concerns about his knee.
