America's Team

Post#1101 » by Ranma » Mon Oct 31, 2016 3:17 am

It's hard not to root for the Cubs as I've admired the die-hard fan base, but I'm still holding residual bitterness from that untimely firework going off during Pederson's at-bat. I don't know if it was their fault but it really rubbed me the wrong way. Hey, the Cubs were admittedly the better team given our flubs in the field but I have no love loss if Cleveland wins this thing.

that was a classic Memphis Grizzlies move of turning the lights out in a crucial moment of the game. cheap trick. that's what they are and that's all they are. a bunch of cheap tricks.

I was thinking the same thing about it being a Grizzlies' move when that happened, which is why my bitterness has me believing the worst.

you don't have to even bother with conspiracy. it was pretty damn blatant and they made no apologies about it.

Eff That Noise

Someone made the argument to me that it may not have been the Cubs at all but a fan or some outsider in Chicago. I find it dubious given how loud the explosion was. I'm with you. If it was a "mishap" with the Cubs' crew, it is highly suspect that it would happen during a Dodger at-bat and so early in the game.

well 3 outs to go for the Cubbie's season if the tribe can get a pair of runs on the board. I sure hope the crushing defeat and the pain and agony of losing happens for them in CHICAGO. Indians are likely to win this series anywayz. just want to see the faces of centry long losers realizing their destiny once again.

Delay in Destiny

Post#1113 » by Ranma » Mon Oct 31, 2016 3:46 am

Well, the Cubs were spared the indignity of being eliminated at Wrigley Field. If Chicago can come back and win the next 2 games in Cleveland with Kluber pitching in one of them, then they deserve the World Series, but it looks like the Indians will have the opportunity to celebrate at home.

3 days rest....AGAIN....3rd time Cubs seeing him?

I'm just praying he does it.
Not sure if I have the ultimate faith he gets it done.

Kendricks also isnt the monster on the road that he is at home.
