Cody & Manny Tie Up Series!

Post#242 » by Ranma » Wed Oct 17, 2018 6:31 am

Manny with the great job getting on and running the bases. Cody finally comes through with a couple of hits including the clutch game-winner. Urias with a solid outing deserving of the win.

WOO HOO!!!!!111

Good Job Cody. Good Hustle Manny.

We won a must win game and as much as our hitting hasn't figured out a damn thing this series, we pitched 13 innings of 1 run ball as a team and will not get credit for it because the Brewers bullpen is the talk of basebal.

To go back to your earlier sentiments.

This is the most survive and advance type feel I've had for a Dodger team in the postseason in the last 6 years.

Annoying AF. Practically unlikeable for huge stretches but it's October and as annoying as they are...Atlanta can't beat em...Milwaukee may be able to beat em....after that who cares? It's the WS...anything can happen.

This is ridiculous and reeks of this guy being a huge Kershaw apologist. His start in Game 1 against Was was terrible not a "mixed bag". Another time he was gifted a lead and the momentum by Cody and JT HRs to start the game.
His start against Philly was bad and he gave up a big bomb that put Philly on top for the rest of the game.
LMAO at "bullpen allowed three inherited runs" as another excuse. He walked the bags full because he didn't think he could his fastball by Harper. This is why you don't do that numbuts (and don't act like I'm not fair....how much **** have I given Baez, the guy who let the 3 runs score, about not holding runners and not wanting him on the team???).

How the Eff is a 5 inning 2 run start against Chicago a "great start"? Do I need to post video from that game so we all can see what the tenor of Kershaw's exit was? He wasn't happy at all and there wasn't some ovation as if he did a great job.

This guy can try to pull the wool over everybody's eyes but I know each Clayton Kershaw October start nearly by heart and I can remember exactly how I felt through all of them. This tweet is garbage. This man has been tabbed the Best Pitcher in Baseball...he should be measured by that standard...not our "it's not so bad....let's categorize why he's been bad" standards. He doesn't need our excuses.

I love Bill James but if you think I believe he would pick prime Kershaw over Bum for an October start or is indifferent as to who gets that ball, I gotta bridge in Idaho for sale.

And no, I don't give excuses for 2009 Philly because he was 21 and didn't have his slider yet. If he was great in that game, I wouldn't take it away by saying "he was wet behind the ears and didn't know any better."

Here is a 21 year old shutting down a great lineup without excuses....funny...8 years later, his October resume doesn't need excuses/ context/ explaining/ breakdowns in tweets etc. etc....We don't even need to look it up to verify the GREAT numbers. We know he gets it done then.

That is why Austin Barnes is in the game.

Beautiful.

Great bunt by Shaw.
We have to manufacture runs Dave. We have to put our fast/ good base runners in motion.

I am still mortified by how stupid Dave has been to let Craig Counsell effectively take David Freese out of this series....JUST BY SHOWING A LEFTY STARTER.

You think he started Miley for 5 pitches for no reason?
Unbelievable.

Great Curve balls to Aguilar.

This man has a special **** arm even with reduced velocity. He doesn't need some tweet to apologize for him.

JUST GET THE JOB DONE!

All I want is to be the more disciplined and focused team.

Brewers beam Manny to "retaliate"; We bring Manny around to score.

Take the Virtue signalling about dirty players. We'll take the run.

I still think it was gamesmanship on both sides... No reason for 1b to camp out on the bag after he gets the out like that, and no reason to half-ass kick his leg as you go by... But as bulletin board material, it's weak-sauce...

Kershaw has been money tonight...

We are undefeated this series (3-0) when Austin starts at C.

Start him Friday so we can go to the World Series!
