This is fiction. Kershaw alone cost us the 2014 NLDS.

Also, it's not 2013 and 2014 anymore. He's not a 7-10 WAR pitcher anymore. He's not why we make the postseason anymore and he hasn't been for years. To suggest so is preposterous in its own right.

Enjoy your echo chamber.

Enjoy the actual excuse making.

Btw, I think it's possible if we win tonight and he gets 2 starts in the WS.
I'll be pulling for him to do it.

Buehler finally throws a curve ball with his 11th pitch.

He threw 7 straight fastballs.
Yelich waited on one and drove it #8.

Hopefully Austin is calling these fastballs to settle Walker down.

Puig got himself home that time. Could almost see it coming after Bellinger beat out that double play.

Tough break for the Brewers, but you must be feeling pretty good right about now

Thanks. I am. That was a great moment. Hopefully we hold on.

I saw you telling us to beat Boston in the other thread.

Yankee fan???

___________
Kenley in at the bottom of the 7th with one out.
I think Dave is going with the Game 5 2016 NLDS idea. Kenley for as long as he can and Kershaw to finish.

God I was scared to face you guys (said this much a page or 2 ago) but if it was necessary to win, why not?

We owe you.

But I can live with the kind words since we aren’t sworn enemies.

Please score here.

I would not want to regret taking Kenley out.

I am terrified with Kenley out of the game.

It’s 3 outs.

Get the job done, Kershaw.

Just a random question...

Why didn’t urias get the win?

I know bueller didn’t go 5, so he doesn’t get the win...

But why didn’t urias? And why did it go to Maddox?

Scorer’s decision.

Madson was the more effective reliever.

Wow.

Been following baseball for 20+ years and never knew it was up to the “scorer”

I thought urias would get the win. Since he came in after the starter.

I can’t think of another mlb game where who got the win came down to the scorer?

Is the criteria, “if the starting pitcher doesn’t got 5 innings, the win will be rewarded to whoever deemed most important to the win”?

Yeah. I looked this up when you asked and asked around. Re-reading it, I answered it like I was just in the know. LMAO. I had to dig for this answer because I was as perplexed as you.

So, take my answer with a grain of salt given that information but I'm pretty sure it's correct after that.

Rule 10.17(b) Comment: It is the intent of Rule 10.17(b) that a relief pitcher pitch at least one complete inning or pitch when a crucial out is made, within the context of the game (including the score), in order to be credited as the winning pitcher. If the first relief pitcher pitches effectively, the official scorer should not presumptively credit that pitcher with the win, because the rule requires that the win be credited to the pitcher who was the most effective, and a subsequent relief pitcher may have been most effective. The official scorer, in determining which relief pitcher was the most effective, should consider the number of runs, earned runs and base runners given up by each relief pitcher and the context of the game at the time of each relief pitcher’s appearance. If two or more relief pitchers were similarly effective, the official scorer should give the presumption to the earlier pitcher as the winning pitcher.

The roster is out.

I don’t understand Scott Alexander replacing Caleb Ferguson.

My usual default is that those guys have a rhyme n reason for everything and there’s some matchup advantage I dont understand at this point.

Happy AF for Young Julio. Knew this kid would fight to come back n contribute. Hopefully he produces.

Our “leader” does it again.
Years from now, someone will throw Madson under the bus to protect him and say this start wasn’t bad....maybe it was the game Barnes was calling...*rolls eyes*

Let’s hope this team picks him up and either wins this game or even provides him with the stupid redemption Game 5 he always needs in a series because he can never just show up and shut a team down twice.
