Dodgers prime target for A-Rod trade?

Should the Yankees go much longer without making up ground in the wild card race (the division title has flown), and perhaps even if they do, they can attempt to shuffle Rodriguez off to one of the competitive clubs that need a third baseman, among them the Angels, Dodgers, and the Indians. The Dodgers represent an especially tempting target. They have a ready third base prospect in Andy LaRoche, a potentially useful, Lyle Overbaystyle first baseman in James Loney, the power-hitting outfielder Matt Kemp, and one of the best pitching prospects in the minors in Low-A lefty Clayton Kershaw. The Yankees wouldn't be able to snag all of these players in an ARod deal, but getting any two would brighten the outlook for next year, and possibly the remainder of this year.

I think a combo of two of those prospects plus a couple current Dodgers should get it done.

Hey are you a Dodger fan too? If so welcome! If not please go away lol j/k.

This is interesting but it will be almost impossible for us to bring A Rod to LA. I kept hearing the Angels were going to steal him this offseason.

Welcome to the board!

Id have to disagree, I think the Dodgers numerous prospects can get them A-Rod. Young talented players like Chad Billingsley currently on the Dodgers roster would also interest the Yankees. By the way, I read a report not so long ago on ESPN/FanNation that Angels owner Arte Moreno was not going to go after A-Rod if he was available.

I vote a big NO for this. A-Rod is still ( until proven otherwise) mister April. We need a big bat in the Fall. I am reluctant to give up our young guys for this guy. I also think he is a tool.. but that is on a personal level.

The Angels have more to offer then the dodgers, We could give them Brandon Wood, along with any of our pitching prospects. the only advantage the dodgers have is that the yankees will not want to trade him in the AL

On one hand, adding A-Rod would give us that perfect 3/4 guy and make us a contender. But on the other hand, we have to remember that Kent, Nomar, Gonzo, Lowe, and etc have only 1 or 2 years left in them. With that said, as of now, I don't want to see the kiddies go. I would rather raise the young guys up and watch them perform together.

Those would be my sentiments too. Plus, I dont like the A-Rod.. and he really hasnt "stepped up" in the playoffs.. too much risk for the future.

What about a pitcher like Schmidt or Lowe, plus Betemit and a prospect like Billingsley? They need pitching.

Well guess we can forget about Schmidt now. In fact with him going down dealing any starter is no longer an option.

Although Arod might be "mister april" we still need to get to October to need a big stick. We need to get there. I would love ARod in a Dodger uni

From the way Loney is playing, I would not give him, nor Russ and Kemp for Arod.

A-Rod may be a FA this off-season. Doubt the Dodgers spend $30 million on him nut you can aleays dream.
