Well the only thing I can find right now is the wiretap and yahoo sports, but until an official report comes out anything can happen. Because I am an LA fan, I have been fooled by false rumors too many times. The Mattingly being bench coach is also a nice plesant surprise, then again one should expect him to follow Torre.

This is by far not a done deal. Apparently Torre is going to make us wait, he is undecided on the job. Please take it Mr. Torre

Grady Little has resigned as per wiretap and Foxsports. This paves the way for Torre, but what if he decides to reject the offer? We'd be stuck with no managers.

Please Mr. Torre accept

Latest update has Ned and Torre in early stages of "talks." If Ned screws up he needs to be shown the door.

Sign the contract Joe. please.

Yes, Minhee, I agree, If Ned screws this up then I am going to be one angry LA fan. ( nothing new)

I am sure there is a process and it seems like we have the inside track.

Wouldn't you rather have Andy LaRoche making 400 thousand dollars?

A-Rod is a terrible fit in Los Angeles. Which is why it'll probably happen. Go Ned Colletti!

Awesome on Torre.

I am not convinced the Dodgers will break the bank for A-Rod. They are kind of stingy.

We have enough young and talented guys on our squad, we need a superstar who is in his prime to help balance out the kids and aging veterans.

I think he will be an excellent fit, LA is another big city/market for his type of star power. Yet he should be even more productive as he won't be under the same type of pressure he has in the city of Gotham.

I totally agree, Frank McCourt is a pretty cheap man. I am sort of surprise that he is even willing to pay Torre. But I am still dreaming that it can happen, I already got one wish in Torre. Doubtful I get everything that I want.

I think they got a bargain for Torre.

I'm talking about the on-the-field stuff.

Andy LaRoche is ready to be awesome, Hu is ready to be above-average at SS (or second if Furcal must stay), Jeff Kent is still functional at second, James Loney is awesome at first.

The Dodgers don't have to do a thing to win the NL West this offseason. They don't need A-Rod and his 300 million dollar pricetag to make the playoffs. They just need to play the kids and let the rest take care of itself.

If they want to do anything substantial, I'd suggest getting a new centerfielder. Otherwise, the Dodgers have one of the easiest offseasons in baseball. There are no holes as far as I can tell (maybe a backend starter?).

I don't think Torre would want to see anymore of the choke artist himself, A-Rod. Plus, A-Rod is looking for a gigantic contract: 12 years, $300 million.

I actually would like to see the Dodgers go after Andruw Jones.

He is a bat that can play centerfield and would be much cheaper.

I am on the fence about a-rod. He is a great player but I am not sure he is the answer at that price tag.

I wouldn't object at all if A-Rod was wearing Blue, but I do understand his price tag is a little ridiculous so I am not holding out much hopes. I can't see Frank even consider talking about a multiyear $300 million plus contract.

Not sure about getting Jones though, I really like Kemp and Ethier and I would hate to see either one gone. Of course if Jones was coming into replace pierre, I will personally move Pierre stuff for him.
