Watching Cavs vs Miami

Post#1 » by TheOUTLAW » Sun Apr 13, 2008 11:06 pm

I'm watching the game and have come up with one overriding fact about the Cavs. They can't shoot worth a dime. Considering that this team has actually added people that are supposed to be good shooters. I know High School teams that can actually shoot better than this team.

Oh yeah, and that Cavs have gotten alot dumber with the trade of Hughes and Gooden.

I'm just shocked at how stupid this team plays. They went from being up 7 to up 2 in just about a minute just because they are a bunch of idiots.

They just said that the Heat haven't beat a team with a 500 record since because Christmas, right now the Cavs are down by 2 this is just stupid.

Well they are also saying that the Cavs are playing down to the Heats level and I'm not sure that's true. I think the Cavs might just be this bad.

This game actually reminds me alot of the Bulls game except the Heat aren't good.

I don't think there are many players in the NBA that are having a more disappointing season than Varejao. Good thing used to happen when he got on the floor and it's the exact opposite this year. He's been attrocious. He's lucky he didn't take the qualifying offer or he'd have killed his value this off season.

As long as Devin Brown is the teams 2nd best scorer it has no chance.

I just realized that LeBron hasn't even been looking to score at all today. He's only had 8 shots for the game thus far. The problem is that the Cavs need him to penetrate for them to run anything that'd be considered an offense.

This team is terrible, and they have no direction..

They have no roster stability, poor coaching, and a GM that could go either way..

Do we have any young up and coming players ?? And if we did, do we have a coaching staff that can develop any young players ?? Cause all I see is players getting considerably worse upon arrival as opposed to getting better..

The calling card is defense, and the coach can't get any defense out of this current group.. Thus, what good is he ?? Cause he sure as hell doesn't have a clue about offense.. So, lets see. No defense, no offense..

I don't think we make it out of round 1, and I don't think it would matter if it was Toronto or Washington.. Either team could slap around this mess of a squad we have..

it took almost a full season for the previous group to fully understand the Browns defense so I'm not completely shocked that when adding 4 new players to play major minutes that they are not immediately catching on. The Cavs defense is completely based on a team concept so guys have to really get back to helping each other out. That being said, it really wasn't the defense that was a problem today. It was a lack of penetration and shooting on the offensive end.

a few things to take away from this game

- LeBron's back must be getting better as I noticed he was sitting on the bench and not laying on the floor when he was out in the 2nd half.

- It looks like Wally's chance may be over and we're going back to Sasha as the starter. Perhaps the extra rest did his foot some good and that cuts down the number of new players who have to get the defense down for the playoffs and moves Devin back to coming off the bench where I think he is more effective and also should improve the defense of our starting unit..

- Boobie knocked down a couple of 3s, something he's only done one other time since returning from his injury. Hopefully he can build on that tomorrow night.

Really? They showed multiple shots of him laying on the floor when he was out on the TV.

This team is a joke right now.

Was that the first half? I noticed he sat on the bench during a timeout in the 2nd half and also saw him sitting on the bench shortly before he returned in the 4th quarter. I didn't notice one way or the other before that point.

Just remember one simple rule, never by excited and optimistic about Ferry's moves - it will spare you some sleepless nights...Whatever he does, it won't work in Cleveland.

From watching your games I think your coach needs to bite the bullet and start Joe Smith over Ben Wallace. Allo, even with his bad season I think you are better off with Sasha's defense than Wally's offense.

Its a little disconcerting how much worse everyone has been shooting since getting to Cleveland though. The ball movement is much better but as was pointed out, noone can hit a shot.

It'd be nice if Gibson started shooting just a bit better. I know that Devins shot scares the heck out of me. But yeah, I agree that the Cavs should be better with Sasha starting over Devin or Wally. At the very least we should have fewer issues with our defense. What has been bothering me most is just the dumb plays that we tend to have to close our every quarter.
