No. No sir. No way. Has anyone looked at these contracts? Jefferson has 3 more years at 42 mil which is paltry beside VC's 4 more years and 67 mil. Now I know it's Dan Gilbert's money we're spendin' here but come on guys, 109 mil for guys not even in the playoffs? Okay, so we forget VC. At one point I even thought RJ might fit, but that was before looking at his contract. And maybe it would be an easy conversion to play him at the 2, but a better alternative IMO would be Kevin Martin. Kid's got a PER of 21.07, ranking him 23rd of all NBA players, ahead of some very big names. Just resigned 5 year 55 mil contract. Last 2 years he's avg'd 20 pts, 4 reb, 2 ast and shooting 46% from the field, 39% 3's and 85% at the line. Yea, injured some this year and is built on the slight side, played 61 games this year but 80 last. Not saying it would be an easy deal to get done but I think Ferry has enough pieces to offer to make it enticing without breaking the bank and have some pieces to still chase a bona fide point guard.

I gotta think Martin is almost completely untouchable. He would be the one guy on that team that they flat out wouldnt trade.

Absolutely right BMac, but I doubt he's gonna lead Sac to the promised land even with a lot of help. Only way we'll touch him is if they decide to blow up the whole thing.
