as for damon, i dont think he could be a savior or anything, but at this point, why not give him a shot? put shooters all over the court which could free up lebron for drives (because his jump shot is just gone) and maybe something good will happen...plus dj could bring a little swagger to this lifeless team

damon might be a bit of an extreme case at this point, but i still think andy needs as litte minutes as humanly possible. joe, z and ben are perfectly capable of logging all the meaningful minutes

av should get less than 5 at this point

-7.0 with Andy on the court, +7.7 with him off. Who would have thought Andy would become our new Drew?

Of players playing 25% of our minutes, only Devin Brown has been worse - and he's been planted at the end of the bench the last couple of games.

Is it time to trim the rotation down to 7 players after trimming it to 8 last game, or are the 3 bigs left too old to split 96 minutes 3 ways? Giving LeBron a few spot minutes at the 4 would help there if we had a 4th backcourt player, but I suppose we could put West, Boobie and Wally on the court for short stretches. Odd how a team that was thought to be so deep a few weeks ago suddenly doesn't go much past 7 players, and 4 of the 7 are from the trade.

Too bad he can't learn a few lessons from Ben Wallace, who shows outstanding basketball IQ on the court. Even though he can't shoot, Ben helps our offense with his smart ball movement. Andy's pretty much a black hole when the ball comes his way.

If only we had last year's Andy...

I still can't believe he got more than the MLE. He was barely worth over 2 million, and there was nothing to indicate he deserved more than that. Lots of energy, good size, but no talent. He's too clumsy with the ball.

Last years Varejao was worth what he got, this years Varejao doesn't deserve to be in the NBA.

I think Andy just wont accept his role, and I blame his agent almost as much as I do andy. I hate this system where the agents get in a players head and fill it full of $hit.

Part of the Boozer thing was that he didnt want to be a garbage man either, and while I hate him for screwing the team over, he was right to be confidant in his ability to be more than the cavs were asking of him at that point.

Andy on the other hand is the more common occurance where someone with limited ability gets a load of smoke blown up his a$$ and his career and team suffer for it. The agent doesnt really pay any price if it ends up hurting his client, its a low risk high reward deal for them.

If they get a marginal guy big $ they then can sell that to other marginal guys thus jamming another team and their fans. If this is what we are going to get from Andy from here on out, I would move him for whatever we could get, and be glad to see him go.

Varejao just reminded us of why we always wanted him back. We need this type of effort every night during the playoffs. He was really good tonight though.

Anderson's defense is what helped seal this win. He was simply shutting KG down. The only bad thing is that I hope those two ridiculous baskets he made after the game was basically over dont encourage him to shoot more in the next game. Major props to him for showing up big tonight.

B Mac, I suppose you don't recall that Varejao was hitting that shot regularly last year. Yeah, I don't trust him now, but he is very capable of making that shot. It's those ridiculus spinning layups etc that really piss me off about him.

Well look, starting in place of Wallace showcased how well he could defend the Big Ticket. Varejao has some credibility in terms of impact.. But it isn't his defense that makes us irritated, it's his offense where he attempts ridiculous shots.
