I think that it won't cost a whole lot to bring him to Cleveland in a trade. If he's been hurt, he has said he wants out, etc. then really Indy has no leverage. He'd be better than Ben, but I wouldn't go after him if he's the only one we plan on getting. If we can get both him and Redd, plus a solid MLE guy, I'd be very happy.

We can add value by taking a bad contract (Mobley) as part of a trade. Or we could do a 3 team trade with Indy where the clippers get O'Neal.

And if Brand wants out, he can force the issue - he has a player option and can opt out and set up a sign and trade. There aren't a lot of teams who would be a better situation for Brand than Cleveland. He would come in and be the starting PF. Most other contenders already have an all-star PF. We'd move Andy as part of any Brand deal, Wallace would come off the bench.

no, we need to find the right deals. High quality players are going to be available, we don't want to move our expiring contracts on a lesser player before they are and wind up with nothing of trade value when those player become available.
