WTF ??? There's like 3 Knick/Randolph related threads...
Look... Think for one second.. Does anybody, and I mean anybody truly believe we would get the 6th pick from the New York Knicks ??
I understand they want to clear cap space, and I understand that they're probably not the most intrigued with having Zach and his money on their payroll...
However, that is a team going in a new direction with new leadership on the sidelines and front office... I don't think the first thing they want to do under this new group is waste the next couple of years trying to get under the cap to sign a big 2010 FA....
Seriously, lets exercise a little common sense here... Why hire a big time coach in D'Antoni if you're just going to settle for trying to clear cap ??? In that case, sign a cheap coach.. Why make a big splash splash if you're just looking to drown..
It makes no sense...
Furthermore, unloading a top 10 pick and one of their more productive players for garbage is not sending a good message...
Now, lets look at Zach Randolph (FOR THE LAST MF'ING TIME PLEASE)
What did we learn about Drew Gooden ??? We learned he is what he is.. Whether it's on a good team, great team, or bad team.... Zach is much of the same.. He's a poor basketball IQ player... Players just all of sudden aren't going to become intelligent basketball players...There's a tru feel for the game there, a winning style, and Zach has none of it...
Randolph is a guy that catches the ball in the post, and that's the end of the play... He did this at Michigan State, he did this early in his career on those Blazer teams that had Pippen, Wallace, Stoudamire, Sabonis, Dale Davis etc... He did this on the Blazer teams that had Roy, Aldridge, Miles etc.... He did this on the Knicks team last year...
Point being.... He is what he is...
He's comfortable playing his way of basketball because that's the only way he knows how to play...When you ask him to change that, he becomes moody, discontent and insubordinate, because he feels he's "a beast"... When if fact, he's nothing more than a huge colossal F*** UP on the court, that plays no defense, doesn't hustle, doesn't make the extra pass (in fact he doesn't pass at all) and is not a winning, team player...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
