NBA League Pass/Watching Cavs games

Post#1 » by JebronLames23 » Sun Nov 2, 2008 1:37 am

I am in the Dayton, OH area and hardly get any Cavs game on FSN. If there is a Blue Jackets game on the same night as a Cavs game, it is always favored. Sometimes, even when there is no other game playing at the same time, FSN will run some random interview with a Bengals player or something else that no one watches.

With the introduction of standalone NBA League Pass, my interest was immediately gained. However, tonight's game, as well as a game this past week, have been blocked out due to it being available somewhere in Ohio on FSN.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to how I should watch the games? I understand that Columbus is closer to Dayton, so Blue Jackets games are favored (though I do think less people would watch those than Cavs games, given Dayton's demographic), but NBA League Pass's blackout of games that I don't have any access to makes it not worth a purchase for me.

I think you can watch League Pass online too... At least while the free preview is still going on.

Sorry, I neglected to say "standalone ONLINE NBA league pass."

I want to buy it, but can't justify spending $85 on something that will blackout games for which I have no others means of watching.

I'm not sure if its the same in dayton and Columbus, but I live in C-bus and when blue Jacks games are on FSN like the two games that weren't in TNT. They have the Cavs on channel 24, it is normally a public access channel (I think) so be sure to check on something like that.

Huh, that's interesting. I'm a league pass subscriber. I've never watched games online but I was told that the NBA League Pass Broadband wasn't affected by blackouts or local broadcasts.
