What are we waiting for. If Cleveland Gets McDyess, Its our year. LBJ has put in his time. He was key winning the Gold. The NBA owes him a shot. Think about it. Here are some historic items to review:

-Knicks got the bent corner envelope, How?
-Shaq went to LAwhen they were over the cap, How?
-KG goes to Boston for crap, How?
-Mo comes to Cle for D Jones and Joe Smith, How?

Last year more people watched the Cle-Boston series then the finals in all mid American markets (Exception LA and other west coast Laker loving areas).

Just remember basketball is entertainment.
and Entertainment is about making money
They can't fix the games but they can help set the table.

update

Limbo rock

One member of the Pistons-Nuggets trade, Antonio McDyess, hasn’t decided on his final destination. The smart money is on a return to Detroit, but we here on the NBA Beat page know McDyess better than most. We think he will turn up elsewhere. Don’t get too excited, Spurs fans. We think elsewhere will be Cleveland.

McDyess isn’t the only player in limbo, either. Stephon Marbury is awaiting a buyout from the Knicks and Al Harrington is hoping he will be traded so his aching back can start feeling better.

It would be real nice to see McDyess here if it works out that way. I for one dont think it would hurt Hickson's developement much to sit behind a seasoned pro for a season, and it would improve our chances of winning it all this year. With the age and problem backs of Ben and Z it would make total sense to do everything possible to get him here.

Well rumor was Cleveland spoke to Grizz about signing McDysse I'm assuming a deal higher than what we could offer, obviously an offer he couldn't refuse, I think a 2year 12mil( 6 mil/yr). And then trade him to us for Snow's contract and a 2nd rd pick and cash or something elese.

But the Griz refused so I dont know. I think Barry mentioned it during the Mia/Spurs game last week when he was talking about both teams needed a post prescence like Dice but he only wants to go to a contender.

Dyess would never sign with Memphis...Cleveland wanted Memphis to claim him off waivers which means that he would have kept his original contract and Denver would have been off the hook from giving him any money.

Cleveland would than trade Snow and a 1st rounder to Memphis for McDyess. For whatever reason, Memphis declined. Slick move by Cleveland but Memphis didn't bite... Probably didn't want to spend the money.....

Why couldn't Cleveland claim him off waivers?

The Cavs would prefer not to go deeper into the luxury tax. However, they wouldn't have been able to trade Snow at this point (I don't think)

Because of salary cap I believe...Memphis is the only team currently under the cap.

I guess tonight's game determines where McDysse goes.
