Mo has been getting it done

Post#1 » by TheOUTLAW » Sun Nov 23, 2008 5:49 am

Mo has played well pretty much all season, but he's been getting better of late. Over the last 5 games he's put up 21.6 pts on 50% shooting and .486 from 3. That doesn't even include the 23/4/5 on greater than 50% shooting from the field and from 3 in the Atlanta game.

Hopefully this is just how he plays for the rest of the season. He's been exactly what we wanted so far and better than what we were led to believe on the defensive end.

I've been saying for 2 years now he was the Milwaukee Buck that we wanted, and not Redd....

Bucks fans thought I was nuts...

Mo is the perfect complement to LBJ. He has to be one of the best shooters in the league..and most importantly not intimidated by Lebron or afraid to take over.

Best thing about it is he is still young...he can be a core piece to build around with LBJ.

He is fun to watch play also

Defense comes down to having a good system and having players buy into it. For the most part, good players are good athletes and good athlete are capable of playing good team defense if they are willing to put in the effort. Other than LeBron, the Cavs don't have any great 1-on-1 defenders. However, they continue to be a top defensive team in the league because they have a bunch of guys willing to work within the system.

17ppg 5apg 45% fg 40% 3pt 97% ft.......

To think his numbers look like that after his slow start offensively. His impact on the offense showed right away because everything runs smoother but he didn't shoot the ball that well.

If Mo keeps it up, I could see him possibly making the All-Star. Him and Delonte are holding up to being one hell of a defensive back court as of late, as well as dominating from the three point line. And hopefully these two play the same.

I love Mo Williams, I wish I could trade in my Hughes jersey for 50% off of one of his.

The only knock you can make on Mo is that he' streaky. One 5 minute stretch he'll be terrible turning the ball over and missing everything. Another 5 minute stretch he'll dominate knocking down threes left and right and making great passes.

Delonte West's numbers aren't as big but he's had a huge impact on both ends of the court. I mean Joe Johnson 1-8, 4 points and Vince Carter shut down before that? He is playing dpoy caliber defense and great shooting.

It is great to see an offensive player buy into a definsive system and, at least so far, play better than averge defense. His offense speaks for itself and his assists are only going to go up. He is the real deal.

All I know is that without MO our team would not have scored more than the other team this year with LBJ on the bench. This is going to be a great Cavs season and the possibilities are much greater with MO apart of our Cavs. Let's go try and win 60!!!

Hes been great so far. Sometimes i freak out watching him dribble because he always looks like hes ready to lose control, and then all of a sudden he pulls out of nowhere with a sick pass / shot.

Yeah I noticed this as well. His handle looks a "little" shaky but he always seems to recover the dribble.

It may just be his dribbling style
