Outtie come on man. Mo's set a career high twice already since getting here. What a great game by him. You can't expect Z to play this poorly either the rest of the year. 0 points and 3 rebounds for Z tonight. We'll get Delonte back right out of the break. This is a big win for us to end on a good note before the break. Gibson and AV were solid off the bench. LeBron was his usual all around self. We're in great shape yet. Enjoy it some man, 40-11. Great job Cavs!

No seriously, if you look at the games the Cavs have lost the majority have been when Lebron played pretty well but nobody else showed up. If Mo can bring this every night? I don't know too many teams that can beat us.

That's the thing, Mo has to bring it consistently.

44 one night and garbage shooting the next isn't gonna get it done. Good shooting by Mo though.

We still need to find a way to get some easy paint scores. We are really reliant on jump shooting now, wouldn't mind looking to post up LBJ more frequently. He may not like it but the reality is he is our best post player right now.

I was at the game tonight...and I really hope we do NOT trade for Amare. He is a very bad defender. Andy beat him at least two times off the dribble that I can remember, it was like he was stuck in cement. He made most of his points off jumpers also...when he did go inside our bigs did a pretty good job actually altering his shot...at least that is how it looked from afar...just 6 boards also! any comments on this from those who had a closeup on TV?

Wally sure wasn't scared to shoot it was he!! Mo was unreal tonight, that is his 2nd career high in the last two games I went to.... I need to go more often, he will be cracking 55 by the end of the year!

This was a great way to go into the break...get some needed rest, get our guys back and go win a championship!

I thought Amar'e looked descent IMO. He seemed to constantly attack the inside, but like you said SIB, his shot was always altered by one of our bigs. But from my stand point, I thought he looked good.

Maybe his shot was altered because he can't create his own shot without Nash?

What I noticed last night is that Amare has an aversion to passing the ball.

Surround Amare with the guys on our team and I think a lot of his so called problems go away. Remember everyone said similar things about Mo before he came here as well.

I agree. I think he would buy into the system, at least in the short term.

Though when he let Andy drive right by him that stood out to me as well...that type of crap would have to stop

Isn't the prevailing sentiment that Amare can't stand sharing the top banana spotlight and offensive focus? Isn't that why the Suns are ready to move him? How exactly does that blend with Lebron?

I like a lot of what Amare does, but this game highlights why I don't think he fits in with the Cavs. His overall defensive IQ is poor; he doesn't anticipate what the players he isn't guarding are going to do. His defensive footwork is poor and he tries to overcompensate with his length and strength. But look how easily Andy got Amare's feet crossed with his handles. Amare doesn't box out at all--he sort of dares guys to challenge him for the rebound and wants to overpower them. I do really like how he attacks offensively and his versatility in finishing from inside the paint. And he's a great outlet passer, which would be nice initiating the break.

Back to the game:
Very important win heading into the AS Break after the horrible team performance against IND. They got back to being more than Lebron and some tall dudes, a la 2004. I thought they played very well as an overall team, esp. with the defensive intensity and the offensive flow and spacing.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

It also showed exactly why I love LeBron as a player. He is such a willing passer. The morons on the main general board seem to think that LeBron has this enormous ego which prevents him from being able to blend with another good offensive player when in fact LeBron is the first player to look for you when you have the hot hand.

Well you have to think, Amar'e plays for a crappy team that he doesn't want to play for, he hates to Suns front office, hates Terry Porter and seems to not really care right now. But on a winning team, I think his motives will change and he could pick up his defense. Like B Mac said, everyone criticized Mo's defense before he came here, but look at his now. When you play on a team you want to play for, and like everyone around you, you pick up your play and don't get lazy.
