Re: Mystery-Surprise
If Gooden gets bought out he's probably going to San Antonio or another team. I don't see Mike Brown or LeBron taking him back with the Cavs. All this stuff is already negotiated behind the scenes before these guys even ask for a buyout from their current team.
Joe Smith will likely be back with the Cavs by the end of the week.
I believe there was another longshot potential 'surprise' buyout possibility but it doesn't appear like it's going to happen now.

I was going to say Iverson also but I think Dumars realized that if he bought him out he could land with us and if Detroit ends up facing us it would be like shooting yourself in the foot.
I dont think it is Sheed.
I didnt think the Drew buy out talks were a secret but if they were then I think that is it.
And I hope the Cavs would take him. The only think Drew would have to worry about is losing minutes to JJ when Ben is at full strength by the playoffs. His defense may not be the best but his scoring(shooting and posting) and rebounding is something that would help us off the bench considering he has been a starter for how many years and now he would get spot minutes for us.

Looking at losing teams longshots would be : Marion, Villanueva, or David Lee but for those names I dont think the article would have said Cle would have been the only team interested, I think all teams would be interested.

Re: Mystery-Surprise
If Dumars was that smart, he'd buy out Iverson and beg the Cavs to sign him... and then Cleveland miraculously misses the playoffs.
