You guys who want him back are forgetting something... Drew Gooden was the whole reason that DeShawna Stevenson mess happened. Drew ran his mouth off to DeShawn about something LeBron said. Why would LeBron want someone on his team who he knows he cant trust either on the court or apparently off the court as well?

The DeShawn thing is kinda silly. Sure Gooden should have kept quiet but it was Stevenson that made the idiotic comments. I actually like Gooden and think his defensive rebounding would help however would his defense hurt us more than the rebounding helps?

I am not against Gooden, however it would have to be for a minimum contract after we already lock-up Joe Smith, and LeBron would have to sign off of it.

Gooden hurts us more than he produces on offense or even rebounding. We don't need anymore rebounders on the team.. We have 4 players who are averaging more than 6 per game.

I'd rather just get Joe Smith. But I wouldn't be against Gooden coming back if that falls through.

I gave to disagree here. I think we need a good defensive rebounder. Where we've been getting hurt is by teams getting offensive rebound against us.

I wish Lebron and Mike Brown could have grown up and put aside there dislike towards Drew Gooden and sign the better rebounder/player, but Joe Smith is almost as good for a temporary solution.

^Drew ended up in SA which could be a better fit for him. He should be able to beat out Bonner for a starting spot by the end of the year, and has the chance to show he can improve on D under Popovich.

Hey guys Drew is a big that knows the system, has been to the championship before and can play off of LeBron. He also can give us another body against the Lakers so that a guy like Odom will not get 20 rebounds. We are not in a developing year we are out to win the championship and then let the chips fall where they may. In addition him going to the spurs would give them another big against the Lakers and we don't want to face San Antonio. In addition Z could use some more rest and a five man big rotation would definitely take care of that.
