We'll just have to deal with you guys barring both of us make it that far, when the time comes to it. I have confidence my Lakers can win any where so far we have, well except in the ATL but they're not getting to the Finals so we don't have to worry about that.

Thanks for the props man. I personally don't think it's over yet. Since you own the tiebreaker, all it takes is the Cavs to slip up one game and it goes to the wire. I've seen just from reading the LA forum, you break down the 2-3-2 format. I agree with what you said too, it's just not as important in the Finals. You have to get to game 7 for it to really even matter. Either way you have to win on the road to win the title. It may not be the easiest way for us to win our first championship, but I do hope our teams meet in the Finals. Good Luck to you guys.
Thanks for reading that thread, the numbers as we discussed in that thread really shows the importance of winning HCA. Bottom line like you said you have to win on the road anyway if you want a title. And as it stands only 3 teams in my mind can certainly win on the road, that's your Cavs along with the Lakers and Celtics.

I don't know about the Celtics right now because of the knee issues of KG and the doubt it's casting, but the Lakers and Cavs have one guy that if they wanted to can just take over the game. And theres nothing anybody can do about it.

yeah they cant beat us in the postseason so they have to give it everything they got to beat us in the regular season - and we'll never hear the end of it from those people over there at the last alphabetical team board (thats all the recognition they get from me) if we lose to them again

Obviously we have 3 tough opponents left, and two games against Philly (and the Lakers fans realize just how pesky they can be) as well as the Wizards.. The Wizards shouldn't be tough, but that franchise gets up to play us no matter who is on the court...

So I don't think this matters one way or another right now..All today did was give us a chance to have a one game mulligan..
Well your sitting pretty regardless, anyway many on our board think that the race is pretty much null and void at this point. I mean yeah mathematically we're still in it, but personally I think it's just not enough games left and we're 4 weeks away from the playoffs. It just seems like our focus should be on getting Kobe, Fish and Pau some time off since they haven't missed any games this season. I don't know we'll see how it works out. But the Cavs have been awesome these last couple of weeks, and like I stated in this very thread I just don't see them losing much if at all.

^Good posts Deep. I agree from watching the last few Lakers games, it seems as if some of the vets are feeling the wear and tear. I wouldn't be surprised to see Phil scale the minutes back a bit.

Congrats, I'm a Lakers fan and you should be able to get the HCA now. Two games is a lot to make up when your team is playing this well. :)

Get an update in here as we close the season down.

HCA throughout watch: and next 5
1. Cleveland 61-13 - @WAS, @ORL, SAS, WAS, @PHI
2. LA Lakers 59-16 - HOU, LAC, @SAC, DEN, @POR

2 and 3 seed in the East and next 5
2. Boston (57-19) - ATL, NJN, MIA, @CLE, @PHI
3. Orlando (55-19)- CLE, @ATL, @HOU, MEM, NYK

5 and 6 seed in the East and next 5
5. Philadelphia (38-35)- MIL, DET, @NJN, @CHA, @CHI
6. Miami (39-36) - @CHA, @WAS, NOH, @BOS, NYK

7 and 8 seed in the East and next 5
7. Detroit (36-39) - @PHI, CHA, @NYK, NJN, @IND
8. Chicago (36-40) - NJN, NYK, PHI, CHA, @DET
------------------
Charlotte (34-41)- MIA, @DET, PHI, @OKC, @CHI

--Couple thoughts.. First is the 8 seed battle. I could really see Charlotte taking over for either Detroit or Chicago. They play them both and have been playing tough lately. This might be the team to avoid of those 3 teams. Despite really owning the Bobcats in most every season since they entered the league. Miami and Philly is going to come down to the last game. Philly really surprised me with how they're playing lately.

Out of the teams fighting for the 8 seed.. I'd pick Chicago, Charlotte and Detroit in that order.

I think Charlotte will be the eighth seed. I think Chicago might drop out.

Charlotte will play you guys real tough, they match up nicely with the Cavaliers. Shouldn't be a problem but they've got as good match ups as you can really ask for unless you're a top level team.

Gotta win rest of our games(I think we will). We don't have another choice!

Same with LA. We got no room for error but neither do they. If they slip up once it's a wrap and they still play a couple decent teams.

If the laker lose thier next game and the Cavs win thier next, could the will the Cavs win the overall HCA for the whole league? If so, I wouldn't play the staters more then 20 min in each of the last two games....
