Re: Ron Artest
He would help. He could guard the smaller bigs like Odom and Lewis pretty well.

Re: Ron Artest
Not the main answer, we need a big man who can score consistently and/or one who can bang around with the likes of Dwight, Bynum, etc.
But I have been in love with the idea of Artest joining the Cavs next season. He can play D, score and had great leadership in Houston. Maybe Yao and Artest

Is Larry Hughes having fun yet?

Re: Ron Artest
Artest would be a great fit with you guys. He can score in the post, guard the other team's best perimeter player, and create his own shot. All of which seem like needs for you guys.

Re: Ron Artest
Terrible fit..
Holds the ball on offense and isolates more than anything else..Watching him and LBJ in the 4th quarter would be awful...
Ariza (who we won't get) would be a better option because he can defend 3 positions on the perimeter at 6'8", run the floor, finish in transition and hit spot up 3's...
He doesn't need the ball to be at his most effective unlike Artest, thus would be more of a true asset on this team..

Re: Ron Artest
I'm kind of with L&H on this one. Artest is an iso wing player on offense that holds the ball too much for what he produces, and he's not a natural 3pt shooter. And I'm not comfortable with how he'll change the chemistry dynamic. But his defensive range would be fantastic and I like his toughness and fearless nature.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Re: Ron Artest
It's not gonna work. He plays SF, that's Bron's position. If you put Ron Ron in the PF spot he will get eaten up by the likes of Gasol, Garnet, Duncan, Dirk, etc. But he can defend at the SG & SF spot.
