Why should we? He has done nothing to give us that feeling.

Not quite. Here's an example of a player leaving no room for doubt:

Kobe Bryant dropped a significant hint on Saturday that he has no intention of leaving the Lakers.

Bryant was asked whether he could imagine playing for anyone other than the Lakers next season.

"No," he replied.

Bryant can opt out of his contract this summer and become a free agent. He has two seasons and nearly $48 million left on the $136 million contract he signed in 2004.

He added that his looming decision "won't be a topic" after the Finals.

"Won't be an issue," Bryant insisted.

The same Kobe Bryant that came out and demanded a trade ?? The same Kobe Bryant that flirted with playing for the Clippers to spite the Lakers ?

Different place, different time, different emotions... You're really reaching here..

What Kobe Bryant said about his situation has zero barring on anything that LeBron is doing...You're comparing apples and coconuts here, and it's actually getting pretty annoying.. What, do you want us to say LeBron is outta here and he's going to the Knicks ?? Will that send you out the door ??

What that dude said was correct.. LeBron has never given us a reason to believe he's bolting.. Never demanded a trade, never said he was unhappy, never said anything regarding not being a Cavalier.. He talks about the future of this team as if he plans on being apart of it.. He wants to win a title for Cleveland.. He loves playing at home etc... He's truly never given us a reason to believe he's leaving.. And that's a fact...

C'mon, man, just give it a rest for awhile... Nobody here really wants to discuss LeBron and the Knicks to be honest..

That's fine but this topic was not started by me, there are Cavs fans at the start of this thread who think the Nike ad is basically LeBron counting down the days to 2010 free-agency, and then I was responding to another guy who was addressing me directly.

''I'm comfortable with being in Cleveland. I'm excited about it,'' James told Schwarz. ''I'm loving the direction we're [going] in and I'm loving the teammates I have and the organization. So if that's any indication of me leaving, then somebody must be looking out the wrong box.''

If I had as much time on my hands as you I could post stuff like that all day and have the longest post ever. You're from New York. Great city, lived there for a bit, but you're seeing it skewed from your media's standpoint. We are hearing "I love Cleveland and I am not going anywhere" from the mans mouth. You are seeing purple and orange robin puppets and Yankee caps.

You see he is making sure to drop us the correct hints. Your media and the national media doesn't want to cover the direct words, but rather only inuendos. The dude is a genious. Did Jordan have people chanting MVP for him? Did he have people making Knicks 23 Jordan Jerseys? Signs begging him to come to New York? Fans mobbing him on the court during games asking him to come play there.

You guys are starting to sound like that annoying girl who you keep ditching and not answering her calls and she keeps thinking you like her more. If you wear green it's because it's her favorite color and not because it was the first thing you grabbed.

For a team so in the dumps and that has been the laughing stock of the league for the last 6 years I think you guys are really far out from dreaming about star free agent signings. It's the NBA, not a Cinderella story where because you cut cap space you're ready for a star. You have at least 4-5 years of rebuilding before you can even consider that. Boston at least had Paul Pierce and some nice draft picks/rookie talent to build around. You have a guy with back problems. Seriously I hate to be harsh, but I feel like I am a parent that has to explain to his kid he's too short and fat to play basketball. You're not where you need to be yet and one year won't change that. So go focus on what you're going to do with this years draft pick and how maybe you can be a 1 and done playoff team next year.

If you want to throw out things Lebron hasn't said or done that you feel others have go ahead. I will keep posting the retort. He's saying them. Problem is NY isn't listening. At some point you're going to have to come to grips with the fact that the boy you have a crush on isn't interested. So go google what he's saying about being in Cleveland. Not what color the bird is in his commercial. Not what hat he's wearing. I mean for god's sakes we just went through this same exact thing what 4 years ago? Where were you then? You were all positive he was gone. What has changed since then? Your team is still the laughing stock of the league. You still have a terrible roster and bad contracts, no draft picks, no talent, and no future at this point.

It's time to face it, You're not the pretty girl.

so no where in mine or frankie's post did we make out the commercial to be counting down the days to which lebron is leaving for new york. i cant speak for frankie, but i was responding to it_was_typed's insinuation that the commercial was biased towards new york and next offseason as opposed to next season's championship drive

do you realize how the many of the littlest things we've had to put up with from just about everyone (including half the knick fanbase) since lebron signed that three year deal back in 2006? everything from the yankee hat to this damn bird. everyone else on the outside freaks out about these things but when lebron mentions something like what notorious quoted, it gets little to no airplay...so yes we're all counting down the days til 2010 - the day when we can win that ellusive championship in june

I hope to God that the views of that Knicks fan arent similar to that of the rest of the Knicks fan base... if so Ive truly received an education on how twisted things are being viewed in NY. The part about saying LeBron has never come out and tried to put rumors to rest about him being happy in Cleveland had me rolling. I guess the quotes from LeBron when he comes out and says things like "I love you Cleveland. I aint going anywhere" at the Obama convention last year dont make it to New York. Let alone the quote that was posted by Notorious on the last page from LeBron. So I guess its guys like KnicksGod that "must be looking out the wrong box" as LeBron put it.

Thats the part I dont get... These are direct quotes that leave little to no doubt about his future, but yet for some reason they dont mean a thing when someone loosely pieces together an idea about a bird meaning that LeBron is going to New York.. HUH?? Did I miss something there? A direct quote vs an idea about a bird, and the bird idea wins?

That NY media really must have made you guys delusional.

Gordon Bombay, you said everything that came to my mind. We were addressing the point that the OP was trying to make, rather than what the premise of the video is. Every little thing that involves the Knicks has to be brought up to the Cavs board. What purpose does it serve? Nothing but repetitive annoyance. We've heard, talked, and debated about it the first thousand times already. Why can't Knicks fans just wait until next year and then talk about it? Why can't they get their own superstar?

the ad is clearly about LeBron working hard to be better in 2010.

And some people need to get their monitor calibrated, the bird is purple and orange, not blue and orange.

I'm a Cavs fan that lives out here in Los Angeles. it's ironic to see one big city team like the Lakers living in the real world celebrating their 15th championship while the other supposed big market team, the Knicks, live in fantasyland thru bird puppets as they have no chance to smell a ring anytime soon unless they can snatch away Lebron.

Can you guys think outside the box?

The bird is suppose to represent Phoenix Suns.

Apparently Phoenix and New York have the same education system? Reading is your friend. 8-)

I got this quote from the General Board.. Thought it was funny but yet true.

Rocky5000 wrote:Image

Perhaps the bird is Shaq, since it's wearing the Suns colors. Shaq's watching Lebron before forcing a trade to Cleveland. The bird does look quite plump. Also Phoenix = Bird.

One more thing I just notice, I can sorta make out a head in the reflection in that screenshot...wearing a cowboy hat? Jason Kidd maybe?
