I also do not think Lebron will shun the Cavs to play in MSG. I really have a feeling that he will go to Brooklyn with Jay-Z and play for the Nets who will have the most money available for Free Agents in 2010 and have young talent which neither the Cavs nor the Knicks have.

But, things can happen in a years time. Only time will tell. You are correct!

Even if the Knicks passed on team options for Chandler and Gallinari they'd still have more cap committed in 2010 than the Cavs do if you don't count LeBron's player option.

Assuming you pay Varajao about $7M per year, the Knicks and Cavs will be *very* close to even in terms of their cap room in 2010 -- not counting LBJ.
