I think he'd start because he'd be a much better fit with Shaq than Varejao would be.

Guys here is what I think. We went further in the playoffs with Gooden at PF than Boozer and with Shaq on the team a power forward that can score and rebound as well as defend multiple positions would be a good complement. In additon his low b-ball IQ would not hurt with a team full of good players. Remember his play along with AV made the difference in the Detroit series even with their size advantage.

I'd take Drew if LBj signed off on it. We could do alot worse with what's left of the MLE....I am not as anti-gooden as some on here though.

Do you know who we had on the roster when Boozer was still with the Cavs? Gooden wasn't the difference maker for us.. He may look good one game but he won't even play the next. Gooden is one of the more inconsistent players we've ever had.. And to combine that with his poor defensive liability... What more can go wrong? He may help us a little but his weaknesses completely outweighs what he brings to the table.

Gooden was a 12-14 pts and 8-10 rebound guy. He guarded duncan as well as he could in the finals. We were unable to do anything with Tony Parker. He can hit the open jumper and has high energy on the offensive glass. He also knows the system. He is mobile enough to guard Lewis on the perimeter and Bass and he and Varejoe's energy on the glass allowed Lebron and Boobie to kill the pistons in 2007.

Then sign Barnes with the BAE and we have:

Williams/Gibson
Parker/West
James/Barnes
Gooden/Varejao
O'Neal/Ilgauskas

Not bad.

Magic got Barnes b**** hahaha     Moon is good but not better than Barnes...
