I dont know about ultimate fruitcake, but I dont think he is much of a Shaq fan, so his comments cant be taken any other way than as a shot at Shaq. I really hope to see Shaq's reaction to Kobe's comments against the Lakers in the finals. Hollywood coudnt write a script.

yes this years title is for all the marbles now that shaq and kobe are tied on 4 rings, incredible bragging rights up for grabs, and with shaqs ambition to play a few more years he truly has a chance to get a good lead on kobe before retirement

This is not only Kobe taking a left-handed jab at Shaq, but also at his main competition.

Clearly Cleveland upgrading its backup SG spot wasn't better than say...
- SA upgrading their staring linueup with R. Jefferson
- Boston upgrading their front line with Rasheed Wallace
- Dallas adding Shawn Marion to the starting lineup
- Orlando upgrading their starting sg spot from JJ Reddick to Vince Carter

This is Kobe's way of looking down his nose at the teams who have the best chance to prevent LA from repeating. No knock on Parker, who will bolster Clevelands roster, but his aquisition pales in comparison to some of the All Stars that switched teams this offseason.

IIRC, Dallas acquired Marion through a four team trade with Toronto, Orlando, and Memphis.

Yall are really missing the point of Kobe's statement because of a pissing contest ya'll have between Kobe and Lebron...that's why this thread seems dumb with the Kobe insults ect ..but I do expect this from a a team who has never won a ring Kobe has 4 ..and what he was saying is ..

Its' the glue guys..simular to ariza and shannon brown..steve kerr paxton, kendrick perkins, marquise daniels sheed ..robert horry, glen rice ..ect ..udonnis haslem, raja bell diaw ect

Dfish can't stay infront of a quick guard ..shannon brown did that for the lakers ..ariza defended and did little things...that's what he's saying ..ofcourse shaq is the story but its the glue guys that help u win rings..don't underestimate to move in getting parker and moon ..

Can't say he is wrong, but I think it has to be SHAQ first.

Kobe's probably laughing in his head comparing his all-star teammates to Lebron's

well none of the much-talked about acquisitions have really done much of anything so far...albeit extremely early in the season

The quote and the title are completely misleading as if noone in this thread actually listened tothe interview. Which is on dan patricks site. The question was which was the best "under the radar" move which he answered was anthony parker after thinking about it for a little bit. BTW he mistakenly thought the question was which was the best move of the off season and answered rasheed first, then said AP after dan reiterated the question.

edit: LOL i guess its misleading on his on damn website.

I'd give it some time. He is a notorious slow starter. He has been pretty awful the first 10 games of the season each year with the Raptors.
