Parker couldnt make much of anything yesterday, but going down the stretch he did knock down an important 3 pointer towards the end of the game.

Saying Parker was one of the worst acquisitions is absolutely ludicrous. He was really brought in for one thing - shooting - which he's done unbelievably well.

Did he get killed against KD? Yes. Why? Because he shouldn't have been on him in the first place! Putting him on an opposing teams best offensive player is a recipe for disaster, and you can't fault AP for not being able to guard him.

Parker has been fantastic at what we brought him in to do, and that's easily enough to justify signing him.

edit: also I think playing Green in anything other than garbage time is a mistake. He's not going to get playing time in the playoffs, nor should he, so why put him in for anything other than garb-time during the regular season?

Anthony Parker is completely useless on the offensive end. Yes, I understand he is shooting 50% from three, but he is about as worthless as Boobie was last year. Completely reliant on other people to get him shots and a below average 2pt shooter.

We didn't bring Parker in just for shooting, we brought him in to give us more height on the perimeter, because he's been a solid defender, and because he used to be a decent on the ball (ran point for Toronto just last year at times). Now what we didn't bring him in to do was start, and we knew coming in that he'd already lost a step.

Maybe Parker did need to get killed trying to guard Durant, so Mike Brown can better see what we can and cannot expect out of AP. We have West who can cover smaller guys. We have Moon who can cover taller guys. And yes we have Green - who hopefully we can just get on the court so we can see what he can do.

Parker is shooting the 3-ball great, but if he's going to continue to be a swinging gate on D, then we need to do what we've done in the past for Wally, Boobie, Damon, and Donyell and use them off the bench against players who aren't going to kill them.

Delonte really needs to get his court case plea bargained and put behind him, so hopefully he can step up and reclaim the starting spot.
