Cavs almost let this one slip away.

Say "Good-Bye" to Delonte...He wont be in the 'Wine & Gold' much longer.

That's a pretty arbitrary statement. What's your logic?

Well, the Cavaliers front office has obviously been looking for wing-talent to replace him...and offered him in the proposal to the GSW for SJAX.... but the real reasoning is that the Cavaliers HAVE to make a move to get a scoring PF before the deadline, and whenever they make that deal, I imagine that Delonte will be a part of that deal, as he is not being counted on by the team any longer.

I expect the Cavaliers to get 1 of 3 PFs:

The Power Forward they WANT, in order(preference):

1. Anthony Randolph
2. Carlos Boozer
3. Troy Murphy

Well, it isn't intentional. I am only posting stuff that everyone has already either read/heard/ or saw on TV!

*Brian Windhorst stated that the Cavs would be VERY interested in Randolph IF he became available.
*It has been stated a few times that the Cavs have had interest in Troy
* I put Boozer in there even though I haven't actually heard/saw/read that the Cavs wanted him specifically, but it doesn't take a chemical engineer to figure out who a team would want between Boozer and Murphy, if given a choice. Boozer is a scoring PF...the Cavs want one (as do the Bulls), so it is natural to assume the Cavs would have interest. Doesn't take an insider to figure that out....and that is how I came to my conclusion on my 3-man list for PFs... It has been confirmed that the Cavs are VERY interested in Randolph...so he is #1...Boozer is WAY better than Murphy, so he is #2 despite no confirmations, Murphy is #3 because it has been confirmed that the Cavs have had interest before in him.

They may have interest in Randolph, but it'd be strictly as a developmental player. If he can't even make the Warriors happy, he'd never get off Mike Brown's bench.

Delonte has value due to his cheap buyout, and it's even possible he'd be a candidate to be traded, bought-out, and then re-signed. A month off would give him time to settle his issues - assuming it didn't cause new ones.

Bottom line is if we want to make a title run, the guys we need to depend on, had better be able to show up when called.

If we do bring in a new starting PF, and a new starting SG, it's going to be a mess incorporating them while still trying to make sense of the other new parts. You might remember after the Ben Wallace trade, we finished out the season playing .500 ball.

Randolph has averaged 18/10 in the 5 games he has played over 29 minutes. Very little needed to develop!!!! He would immediately be our best scoring PF. He would need to learn the system,etc...but he is one of those players that have SUPER ability!!!!

As for not making the Warriors happy... that isn't saying much. They have done this for years...especially while Nelson has been in control! This is why players leave GS and do well wherever they end up (except for a couple cases). The GSW is basically the 2000's version of Ted Stepien's Cleveland Cavaliers...maybe even worse, if that is possible.

Having some big games is normal for any player with some potential, but that doesn't mean they're good to go. We've had Hickson in house for over a year, and he's still learning what he's supposed to be doing on the court.

In fact, it could be a bad sign, as at least Hickson is adapting to the garbage man role we need him to play, while Randolph just shots and shoots and shoots with low efficiency, takes 3's he can't make,, struggles to score inside, doesn't play D, and is still rail thin.

Isolated minutes tell you nothing about how well a player is playing. The reason that he's getting these stats when he plays more minutes is because he gets more minutes when he's playing well. It's actually quite straight forward. the fact is he's only played more than 29 minutes 5 times because he doesn't deserve it most times.

Perhaps in most cases, as usually I would agree with you on this. However, I have seen this kid play 3-4 times in-person and he is AMAZING!!!!! He is VERY,VERY good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Google some video or something, so you can watch him. I guarantee that you will scratch your head knowing that he wasn't starting!

He can probably average 30ppg if an offense ran through him.

If he came to Cleveland, we would never have a need for Bosh....as he is more talented....and that's not even an exaggeration!!! If he could gain 50LBS of Muscle, he could be better than Howard....he already has more basketball talent.

Seriously...you need to watch the next GSW game that you can... Watch Him!!!! He is GUARANTEED to piss you off!!! He pisses you off because he is so damn talented (Amazing Talent), and he does dumb stuff, and you get pissed because you start expecting him to do things...IE:

He goes for a tomahawk dunk on a fast break, he is all by himself, and rises a foot above the rim, flying through the air....THEN MISSES THE DUNK!!! He does a LOT of dumb stuff like this....where he should be doing one thing, he does something else to try & impress, and ends-up screwing up! So you get pissed.

Imagine LeBron if he started making Drew Gooden mistakes.... THAT is what happens with Randolph! He has the talent to be a top player in the league...but some of the stuff he does, makes his team-mates, the fans & his coach want to choke him.

Brian Windhorst said he had "insane" talent.

John Hollinger said he had "the ability to be the best PF of all time." (THAT is saying A LOT!!!)

Watch a GS game, you'll see.
