In fact we Laker fans have givin props to the Cavs for winning and we Laker fans haven't blamed anyone but our teams lack of effort and heart they gave in this game. So where are these excuses that you are talking about?
Read the game thread, though I apologize for making it sound as if all the LA fans are making excuses. It's basically just one poster coming off as a poor sport. When you say it's all about your teams lack of effort, it does come off as an excuse. It's a nationally televised game, there is no reason they shouldn't be able to get up for it.
TonyMontana wrote:This comment, show me where on this board have you read any Laker posters claiming your accusations? I have only read one poster that said something to this extreme and he was warned by OUTLAW for making that remark, but where do you see Laker fans "Now they come over here and say it's just one game".
If we brought up our two wins last year it was because certain fans including Cavs fans kept repeating that they were the team to beat and that they wouldve beaten LA in the finals if they had played LA instead of the Magic. So Laker fans use the example of the two games we played you guys and we beat you guys. I think its a legit reason if your comparing the two teams that have played each other in regular season if the other team never made it to the Finals.
Lets say for example if we get beat by the Cavs again in Cleveland and we dont make it to the Finals and you the Cavs do, should the Cavs use the two games we lost against the Cavs as a legitement comperison?? Sure why not.
Again read the game thread. It was called a meaningless game after the Cavs won. And that poster was not warned for saying anything of that nature. That poster was warned for calling LeBron one of those hater nicknames people come up with and post. I'm sure you guys deal with many haters going after Kobe on your own board. We could go with the certain Cavs or Lakers fans said this or that all night. I don't hold anything against Kobe or the Lakers. I actually enjoy watching them. I'm sure a good amount of Laker fans are great too. But on realgm, it's tough to not paint with a wide brush. It has more to do with alot of Kobe fans, probably not Laker fans, that have to go out of their way to diminish the Cavs/LeBron. I'm sure you guys feel the same about some LeBron fans, probably aren't Cavs fans either, doing the exact same to LA/Kobe. It's actually quite sad to see on here, but that's how fans act trying to defend their favorite player.

As far as the best team in the league remark, please check the standings as of today we are still the best team in the league even with our loss to you guys. Yet it seems like some of you taking this win against the Lakers like you guys just won the NBA title or something.
Congrads on winning the Christmas game, it was a very good win for you guys and a bad loss for us. Do I care about the loss, yes I do. We got beat by the better team on our floor on Christmas day, that is bad, but am I going to lose sleep over it, not at all. And thats where the term comes "Its just another game for us". Nothing more nothing less. Take it for what it is Just a good game played by the Cavs.
I expected to get this from a Laker fan. Yes the schedule will even itself out in due time. Yes I didn't mention your upcoming schedule, because your results is all we have to look at right now. You're right the standings do show you sitting pretty at 24-5. I'm looking forward to watching how the Lakers hold up against some better competition and some road tests. It's not a knock on LA really, they'll get to prove themselves. It should be similiar to last year, though I hope for different results. It's a four team race for the most part yet again. Before this game, many on this site had this Cavs team written off already. That grew old and did get frustrating to see on here. That's about it. Thanks for the props and good luck until we see the Lakers in CLE.
