Were only 1 game down of Boston, we own the a league best 4 game winning streak and the best last 10 games record of 9-1.
We beat the lakers, we beat orlando, now is only a matter of beating Boston who imo are our only true rivals on the east to prove that this team is a true legit contender...
So after all that, were in a pretty decent spot.. so like i said before... well be ok.

yeah, but we still have some pretty bad losses and IMO they are because we've lacked focus at times.
Using last years results the win in LA was a positive since we'd lost 2 to them last year, but the loss to Dallas was a negative since we swept them last year. We have 2 more that we need to make up for.

Well, we did beat Dallas this year i think, plus i dont think they will come out of the west...
This team can play when they want, like you just said they lack focus some times, but come playoff time this team will be a force, my only concern is Boston who is a very very good team with a lot of firepower.... so.. at least for me, the most important thing right now is proving that we can beat Boston... im not worried about Orlando that much, or even by the Lakers if we get past Boston...

I think there are still legit concerns about this team. When they want to play - they play well. But I think we can all agree that this team needs another upgrade on the offensive end
In a related note, I watched NBA TV last night and Brian Windhorst was on the set. He basically stated the same as above, which we all know, that the team is outstanding when they decide to play. He believes that the Cavs will upgrade at the 4 position, mainly looking for a stretch 4, and since they are so good defensively, they will mostly look for a offense heavy 4 man.
I think Windy is secretly saying we are getting Jamison.......maybe.....maybe....

Re: After all the Chicken Little sky is falling BS....
I really think a deal will be done based on what Windy was saying. Brent Barry asked him if he thought Leon Powe might fill that role when he comes back and Windy said absolutely not, he is not a shooter. But I could see us getting Jamison and then packaging Wally and JJ for another 2-3 scoring wing.
Anyway - sorry to get off topic. But I think Ferry is under tons of pressure at this deadline, but I think he is in his best position ever to make some solid additions to this team.

On defense we've been incorporating too many new players, and JJ has been especially clueless. On offense, Shaq & Z have been up & down. It doesn't look like a lack of effort to me, but in Shaq's case a lack of lift and spring in his legs in some games, and in Z's case it's been a matter of adapting to coming in off the bench. We've also missed Delonte very much.
When someone (or multiple someones) step-up our offense runs very well. It's always been the case, and when our offense ran at it's best last year we had 3 guys on the court who could create and dish.
So we can't underestimate the impact Mo is having, but the true test for him will be keeping it up against teams with quick PGs and solid team D.
Ultimately, every team is going to lose games. Maintaining focus like we did is the exception, and yet few were happy about the games we lost last year to top teams. If we efficiently take care of business against the contenders, isn't that preferable?

Jon.. thats my point exactly.. i can live with a few losses here or there if we bring it vs the Bostons, Orlandos etc... right now im confident we can beat Orlando is Shaq stays helathy, and prob the Lakers in 7 game series. Im not so sure about Boston as of now...
But like someone said, we looked pretty good on opening night, we were close and a few stupid turnovers at the end cost us the game.. but i really think that them too are playing better basketball now, and if they managed to be healthy come playoff time, will be our toughest matchup...
I guess well see, but imo were heading in the right direction.... and yeah we can use a scoring 4.

I think it is a given that the Cavs really underperformed this season, and we gave away too many games that were winnable. However, we are only a game behind from having the best record in the league.. These next 2 games against Atlanta will be crucial.

PF:
Chris Bosh (I think he is the reason a deal has not been done yet because we don't want to do anything and no longer have a chance at him)
Troy Murphy
Antawn Jamison
Carlos Bozer
Sleepers:
Yi, Bargs, Tyrus Thomas, Scola or Landry(OMG anybody see Yi since he has come back)
Wing/SG:
Gerald Wallace(likely with Diaw to clear cap)
Andre Igudola(likely with Brand for cap)
Caron Butler
TMac
Sleepers:
Kevin Martin or JR Smith(Denver is in dire need of pg help)
This is my list of what I would condider deals for that are available or possibly available.
