The only reason James was able to abuse the post against Golden State is because they have no interior help defense. Against a normal team it'd be very hard for James to play that style.

I'm not sure why that'd be, heck both Mo and Delontes post games have been focal points of the Cavs offense in the last few games. I can't see why LeBrons can't be as well. And he's smart enough to pick apart the team if they send a double team.

I don't think LeBron is used to all the angles double teams can be sent his way when posting up - and please PM me the next time LeBron tries and manages to post up someone who's actually bigger.

It's also inherently easier for West & Mo as they simply don't draw the same level of attention from the D.

I'm not complaining, certainly LeBron has all the tools, talent, strength, and ability to become a fantastic post-up player, but like with any developing player ... it's a process and since it's not his primary thing, it's going to be inhibited by the fact he prefers to face up, he prefers to have all the defenders in front of him, and inspite of his size/strength he really doesn't like to bang.

The key is that very last part "he doesn't like to bang". This is not the part that LeBron enjoys which is also the only reason he doesn't average double figures in rebounds.
