I think the Magic of last season could work your SF squad. On offense they will spread the floor with their shooters, and just dump the ball into Dwight, who you would have to double every time. On defense, they would just play them the same way they did Cleveland in the playoffs. Their is no post threat, so they can make you shoot jumpers and pack it in, or force you into the paint and let the weak side help take care of it.

I disagree that I would have to double-team Howard. I believe LeBron could guard him one-on-one. LeBron would do a great job of denying the entry pass or making Dwight catch it out of position. Plus, when Dwight does get the ball, he's really not that effective of a post scorer anyway.

I see what you're saying, but given the players that are known to be effective against Dwight, Perkins, Yao, dare I say Shaq, I don't think LeBron can defend him well for an entire game.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I'm not saying a team should load up with wings and just try to outscore the other team. The entire principle on which my argument is built is that when you have a guy like LeBron James, you can load the team with talent regardless of position. If I have LeBron, I'd rather have Durant, Pierce & Anthony than Shaq, Varejao & Parker. It's not even close.

Lol I'm with vct all the way. Although I would put a point guard and a defensive center on the bench just in case.

Howard doesn't command a double team when he goes up against a physical center. O'Neal hasn't been dominated by Howard.

I'm gonna have to say Dirk. Lebron's going to get Nowitzki open looks. The rest of the Cavs' 3p FG % would look weak against Nowitzki's, which would be off the charts if he gets the same open looks that Lebron already gives his teammates.

LB plays out there like a PG/SG so you want a Dirke or Durant.

But Howard would be interesting also because of his inside power.

But from a shared leadership position, Billups or Kid

But the nastiest combo of all would be LaBron and Melo.

That would be unstoppable and just nasty.

If I need to put someone next to LBJ I look at the following:

1. Doesnt need the ball in his hands to be good. Moves without the ball.
2. Good Shooter
3. Good Defender

Some options:
PG: Mo (1+2) , Billups (2+3),
SG: JoJo (1+2+3) Ray Allen (1+2), Rip (1+2+3)

PF: KG (1+2+3), Dirk (1+2), K-Mart (1+2+3)
C: Bargs (1+2), Okur (1+2),

Roy for example is a great player but he doesnt complement Lebron that good. He is not a good set shooter, a bad Defender, and he need the ball in his hands to be effective.
