Visiting Cleveland - how to get tickets?

Post#1 » by Champipple » Thu Feb 25, 2010 2:50 pm

Hey! Raptor fan here.

I'm looking at making a road trip to visit the RRHOF and catch the Raptors / Cavs game on March 6th. Online all the cheaper seats are gone (sorry, I can't pay $150/ticket for a game these days).

How easy is it to get tickets on the day of the game? I know in Toronto it's not hard to get cheap seats from scalpers, people trade up and they sell the cheaper ones at face value or less.

Any ideas?

Champ,

I would suggest you going to Flashseats.com

It is basically the legal way to scalp tickets. Season ticket holders put there seats up for bid, much like EBay. I use it all the time to get great seats at a low price. I am not sure when the game is, but if it is during the week, you will have a much better shot at the best tickets, for a decent price. The weekend is pretty tough I have come to find.

FYI - In the beginning of the season, I got Wizards tickets, who are a pretty good "rival" with the Cavs on the site. The tickets were $90 face, and I got them for $22 each.

In terms of ticketing, it is great. Just pay with your credit card online. Go to the arena, swipe your credit card for identity verification, and they print the tickets right in front of you.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply. The leaning now is to go to Cuba instead, but I've bookmarked flashseats just in case.
