Paul Pierce has to regain his early season form.

1 thing I want to say as a mavs fan. We as in Clevland and dallas have to be a bit worried about the lakers. To me it seems as if the lakers have not played to potential where-as we (mavs/cavs) are playing our hearts out every night. I hope im wrong but I dont think so. It looks like their are winning based off talent alone which is what scares me. If you watch them play, they play with no emotion or sense of urgency.

Pfft...

Not worried about the Lakers...

I'll take a 7 game series with the Lakers right now with both teams 100% healthy and throw them home court advantage....

The Mavs don't have the physical nature to beat the Lakers.. The Nuggets do and so do the Cavs... The Cavs can combat their size, the Cavs neutralize their shooting, Bynum and Artest... I think Pau will struggle with Z's size and Pau will also struggle with having to guard the perimeter for long periods of time that will keep the Lakers off the glass as well...

The Cavs have 3 front court players that move significantly well off the ball and have as much balance as any team the Lakers will face... Cavs can go big and small with them... And personally, I would love to see the Cavs play LeBron at the 4 spot in that series... Force the Lakers to play Odom or Artest at the PF spot with either Bynum or Pau playing the Center against Shaq... LeBron will abuse either IMO...

If healthy, I have ZERO doubt we win the championship this year.... First year I have felt like this...Cavs can matchup with the Lakers any way the Lakers want to play this year and do so with the best player on the floor dictating the pace of the game...

I think you guys can take them but the key is going to be shaq. If he can stay out of foul trouble is the key. Theres no way your current line up can take a motivated lakers team. Bynum would abuse either z or vareja and gasol would have a field day with jamison. I think the key is shaq neutralizing the laker bigs. If shaq gets in foul trouble you guys have no chance. Your front court minus shaq is great for other teams like orlando where outside of howard they dont have post presence, boston, hawks, etc. But with the lakers, shaq goes out and then you have that 3 headed monster front line where none of your bigs can guard..

I actually agree that LAL has not played as well as they can. They really have a good mixture of bigs that can bring it virtually any style of play. Can they turn it on later? I'm not sure, but I know I'm not seeing the same intensity that they gave last year. Laker fans have argued that they didn't care about the regular season but that's just nonsense, they know they aren't playing as well and that they got punked by the Cavs. And, it concerned them. That being said both Orlando and Boston will create some problems for the Cavs in the playoffs, that's why I'd prefer to just play one of them.

Heck, I rather have the Cavs play neither one of them, so whoever the pistons or the magic play in the playoffs in the first round, I will be cheering for them. :)

Why don't they ever show this view on TNT or ABC. Not originally from here, however Cleveland gets a bad wrap around the country

That's because most of the people that watch have never been to Cleveland and of course, the weather (in the winter) sucks.

Which is another reason why it is sometimes hard to lure FAs to cleveland...most players perfer fun in the sun cities...
