Actually, I agree with you completely. While I defend misconceptions regarding LeBron I frankly don't feel the need to argue whether he is the best in the NBA or not (I believe that Lebron is and has been for a couple years now). I just don't understand why many Kobe fans are so insecure about this.

And they point to the rings that Kobe has. Well, huggers, put Lebron with a prime Shaq since his 1st day in the league, and they have about 10 rings- because Lebron wouldn't whine about his status on the team as long as they were winning!!!

But after watching the game last night, is there any doubt left in your mind as to who the best player is?

3 of kobe's rings should say sidekick on the shanks...no different than say manu was for the spurs or James worthy was for the Lakers etc....

I agree almost 100% with that. I know Kobe was an integral part of Shaq's 1st 3 titles. But I do believe that Phil Jackson was more important. I believe Kobe had the ability to be Magic to Shaq's Kareem. But he lacked the ability to let the team concept trump his own agenda, and this came from Phil and even KOBE himself. Jackson wanted to trad him for Marion and Kidd. I guarantee that the Lakers would have been unstoppable for years with that lineup. And Kobe would be runnin' and gunnin' out of the 1st round with Phoenix every year.
