NBA Bracket Sheet

Post#1 » by Cleveland Fan » Fri Apr 30, 2010 1:30 pm

Is the NBA's brackets fair? They have their bracket filled out to the end. Should they do like baseball does for each round? When there is an upset (like Spurs beating Mavs) should they ajust their bracket? #1 seed LA would host #7 SA instead of winner of #4 vs #5 (Denver vs Utah). This could also happen in the east if Bucks beats Hawks. I say in the west if Lakers win they should host the Spurs because top seed should host lowest seed. In the east if Bucks win Cavs should host Bucks & Celts should travel to Orlando.

What do you think?

No, it just isn't right to penalize a lower seed by making them play the next highest seed just because they beat a high seed.

Your not penalizing the lower seed your rewarding the higher seed.

i think homefield throughout the playoffs is a pretty good reward, no need to penalize the lower seeds for an upset...

I'd rather play bulls than sweep couple teams then lose in east finals...

Well its quite obvious that the bulls were a pretty easy team to beat I just wanted to know if a Cavs fan had a different perspective since they took a game from them. And yes I watch Baskeball. Its the only thing I watch on television.

Lol, no they wasn't easy to beat, at all, we could of easily lost 2 more games than we did. They played with a lot of heart and actually are competitive. If it wasnt for injuries (to Noah including), they would of been 5th in east...

The only team I see chicago being better than out of (charlotte, miami, Milwaukee with Bogut) is maybe Miami and they have Wade so you can never count them out. Chicago was a lot better last yr with salmons, Ben, thomas. Even if they would of gotten 5th seed as you said, You would of played the Bobcats and be in a 7 game series with them because of matchup problems. What I'm trying to say is I would of loved to play Chicago other than the Thunder,Spurs Bobcats etc.

We had problems with Charlotte during regular season, but that's regular season, playoffs would of been a sweep. Chicago gave us more problems than Atlanta, Miami, Bucks, Charlotte, OKC, Portland or Suns would. Spurs you can't really judge by their record also. Oklahoma City youth gave Lakers alot of trouble but against Cavs it would of been a sweep. I did like Chicago series though because, it felt like playoffs, unlike last year where we swept through Detroit and Atlanta like nothing.
