Andy for Jeff Green - y/n?

Post#1 » by tidho » Mon Nov 22, 2010 6:50 pm

Green will be a restricted free agent that will get more on the open market than OKC is likely wiling to pay for a third offensive option. If he a agreed to a four year extension at $9 or !0M would you?

....some filler would be required - Collison for Moon & Powe would do it - along with dozens of other combinations.

Don't forget to send James Harden with him.

Personally, I would pass. For one, that extension is a big if. Secondly, is Green worth $10 million a season? We would also need to be getting center in return, otherwise we'd be starting Hollins with Powe as a backup.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I woud love to have Jeff Green however as mentioned we would get killed at the C position. But at this point we can see that this team is nowhere near a top team in the east so if we could get Green an extension I could live with this type of deal in th hope we could address the C position in another deal or at draft time.

Quite frankly we're getting killed at the SF position now. I think its just a matter of moving the hole from one position to another.

We'd get a body back from the Thunder to help out but a guy like Collison, Krstic, or BJ Mullens really isn't going to be the answer.

Green is in a pretty bizarre situation, and I don't think that type of talent is going to get moved very often - but its an opportunity for us.
