Congrats on the win. I'm happy for you guys.

Good win guys, I don't feel so bad about you guys beating us.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

So there was no game thread until after the game was over? Not trying to be mean, but how do you lose so many fans so fast? Last year this thread is 20 pages by now. Everybody's fair weather?

I was also shocked to see that there are no game threads in here anymore.

The diehards are still here, but discussing 20 point losses game after game is like beating a dead horse. Now that the trade deadline is near and we wont have the worst record ever there should be some more conversations I think, though we seem to be turning on each other lately in other threads more than I have ever seen before.
At least we won, after the last historic beating at the hands of the Lakers I wonder how many people even bothered to watch on TV tonight. I usually DVR the games when I have something else going on like I did tonight but I didnt bother. I saw the second half at a local tavern and wish I had recorded it though.

It's a little strange to see a Detroit fan start a game thread for a cavs win....... anyways.... :dontknow:

Good work Cavs. To go from a 26 game losing streak to beating the lakers is a huge turn around.
Well done.

The difference between tonight and the Cavaliers we saw in that 26 game winning streak was passion. When they actually play with passion, they aren't that bad at all.

I respect the Cavs franchise especially the fans who are still loyal to the organization. And tonight, they won it without Varejao, and Mo Williams. That's just heart right there even after losing to the same Laker team by 55 points about a month ago and by LeBron a few months ago.

I get the feeling they were struck by lightning during this horrible weather. You can't really blame them... ten wins so far... I mean they had the longest losing streak in NBA history. You don't expect a win after 20 losses, why watch if you know the outcome?

Nah, I still watch when ever I can, it's just that there's nothing to talk about most of the time. I think just about all the fans are still here, we just don't have as many unjustified threads to defend ourselves in. That and posters like Bombfirst and the other LeBron fans are gone.

I obviously can't speak on anyone's behalf but my own, but the infestation of other teams trolls and fans is a turn off for me with any game thread on this particular site...i participate in a separate Cavs fourm for their game specific threads, like i said mainly due to the fact that it's Cavs fans ONLY (well, almost). Add into that a lot of folks likey WERE bandwagoners, and as we know, wagons are quite mobile...so good riddance to them.

This is a time where the people who are true die-hard Cavs fans are some of the only left in existence, but what can ya do? At least that means that the few remaining are quality, intelligent, basketball literate posters that are worth a decent discussion. All that said...pretty random thread...

I know it's just one regular season game, Lakers are still the defending champs, blah blah blah...regardless, our young players needed this win for their esteem, and the game also showcase which players aren't afraid to step up against the best of the best. I'm sure i speak on behalf of the fan-base,players and organization when I say this was totally unexpected, and that we ARE capable of playing like a great team, once people STEP UP..

Great game...obviously not gonna read too much into it, but I will say I am stoked for the guys in wine and gold to get not only another win, but one at home against the defending NBA champions..

It was ALWAYS very rare to have 20 page game threads, most Cavs fans didnt utilize this site even when we were great, so you cant expect them to when we are bad.

Of course last year the thread for this game would have been 20 pages because it would have actually meant something. Plus, you would have had 15 pages of people arguing who the best player in the league was. The truth is though, aside from a few big games like that threads were usually under 10 or so pages due to the reletive smallness of our group.

But hey, its quality over quantity in here.

Much like the Spurs board, there's a couple other Cavs forums that get far more traffic than the realgm Cavs board... It was that way when the Cavs were good and it's that way now...

I'm still not sure we needed one, but I almost guarantee had you not started it we still wouldn't have one.

actually, we didn't have a game thread that went over 20 pages last year - playoffs included. closest we came was a couple games with the bucks where the thread reached 18 pages...and that was probably mostly due to buck fans crying all sorts of foul and or conspiracy after the game
