Jamison broke a finger

Not sure how long he'll be out, but he broke his pinky so the Cavs are down their top 2 scorers now.

No worries, if it leads to a couple more L's thats fine. Good effort tonight against Philly, a team that has been playing well and of course the result was fine too.

Well this is a good thing and a bad thing.. I like Jamison as a player and he is a great person. It sucks that it had to happen to him. On the other hand, this increases our chances of getting the #1 pick.

probably would have got the W today if this didnt happen, Had them in foul trouble very early and really struggled to score in the last. Ah well, as everyones saying, greater good.

I hate to see players go down with an injury, but this should mean that Samuels and the two new bigs should get a decent amount of minutes.

I think we need to work to try and trade AJ this summer. The guy is a big time pro and should be trying to win a title.

What was the GS deal about? Were we going to get a 1st?

Yeah, the effort has been more consistent. However, I want the worst record in the league....by one game. I hate losing, but it is losing with a purpose this season (and next). Winning as many games as possible and having the worst record while doing it may be diametrically opposed but obviously is necessary.

What's the word on Samuels? Can he play? Anybody here who can give a short scouting report?

Samuels is short for a PF/C, will hustle and bang inside, has poor hands/fumbles the ball in traffic, moves around the basket improving but he still gets a lot of his shots blocked. Recently he has hit a few 15-18 footers but that is a new developement, so it may be a mirage. He is still a bit raw offensively and doesnt pass well (or much) when defended in the post.
A decent 2nd or 3rd big off the bench at this point, his lack of height may prevent him from being much more than that.

You will more than likely not see Jamison in Cavs uniform again. He will probably be dealt at the draft or before the year due to his contract expiring next year. This is whole thing is great for the Cavs. Now they can see their other young players and not sneak out any wins that could harm them in the lottery if they had Jamison playing. Plus thats about 20 shots or more a game someone else will have to take,so it should be interesting, and hopefully losing all the way to the lottery. With 20+ games to go hopefully they lose as many as possible at this point, as hopefully so do the Clippers.

Hickson, if they play him at the PF for stretches, hopefully he stays around the basket and beasts a bit. Samuels should get an increase in minutes, and I expect Erden and Harangody to see some of the minutes as well.

Won't benefit Hickson at all....in fact it will only make it more difficult on him.

The injury benefits all the mediocre/bad players in the front line...which, at this point, is basically 4/5 of them lol.

I still think this situation can benefit Hickson when Ereden plays, allowing Hickson to slide to the 4. If Hickson stay around the basket like he has been, I think he can overpower a lot of PFs in the league. Essentially, Hickson is going to be playing PF again sooner or later.

**edit**
Essentially, Hickson is going to be playing PF again sooner or later, and this is a low preassure way to get him some minutes at the 4.
