How would Cleveland fans feel about a trade of Joe Johnson for Antawn Jameson and the #1 pick if you guys land it?

That is terrible for the Cavs... I ma not sure many teams would help you out of that deal. Maybe a team like the Mavs if you took some bad deals back... But no way a team gives you a top pick for the priveledge of taking a bad contract..

I think some people just dont get that this team is willing to take on an aging vet with a large contract only if we receive lottery pick(s) in return. Even if said vet is still productive this team is several seasons away from contending, which by then guys like Johnson will have slipped further to the point of being counterproductive.

Smart, cunning, willing to go as far over the luxury tax as possible to win, and willing to spend 15 million almost for another pick...yeah i'd say he is pretty smart and dedicated for sure :D

anywho, I posted this prop on the Washington board...personally i think it favors THEM but they think otherwise...

Hickson,Sessions,Jamison for Rashard,and their 2011 1st

after they declined, I suggested possibly removing Hickson/Sessions and adding the TPE/Clips pick so it was

Hickson,Jamison, part of TPE, Clips #1 (post lotto drawing just in case it ends up higher than theirs lol) for Shard and their #1, projected to be 3-4 but could go as low as 7

leaves us enough TPE left to us on Hamilton as well, if we can still get THAT pick too... not gonna hold my breath on anything obviously but it would be nice

edit: FYI Shard,Hamilton and Baron's contracts ALL expire at the same time...that could be a great summer to trade for teams looking to save money, giving us a chance at adding talented role players to an establishing core of rookies/sophs we'll have

IMO, the Wizards are pretty much stuck with Shard and throwing away talent (young player like Hickson too) in addition to taking on Shard is not a wise move for a rebuilding team to get another lotto pick in a weak draft.
