Shannon didn't get much of a shot here. I remember clearly Brown would bench him for weeks and then randomly start him when a guy sat out for injury, etc. So Shannon was constantly pressing every time he got out on the floor.
That said Shannon was more of a guy who needed a few seasons under his belt, he went to a few other teams and didn't get PT either (I think off the top of my head Charlotte and maybe Chicago).
I think Mike Brown will be a good coach for LA though. Assuming he brings in a quality offensive assistant, the guy knows how to coach defense and bring a culture centered around toughness and defense to a team and also knows how to manage egos very well.
Congrats to Mike Brown

Re: Congrats to Mike Brown
I remember Shannon Brown always being out of control when he played for us. He shot terribly percentage-wise and turned it over a lot. I'm sure Mike Brown won't have a problem playing him these days now that his game has evolved a bit.
I forgot how bad Mike Brown's rotations were. He'll make you want to bash your head in sometimes, but he'll have better talent to use in LA, so maybe its a non-factor.
