Dont look know but we only have one less win than the Wolves with 5 games left against 4 bad teams. Meanwhile the Wolves have 4 games left against harder competition. Theres a good chance we finish with a better record than them.

Also right now the Clippers are picking 8th but have a decent chance of slipping to 10th.

Detroit could really do us a favor by winning all of their remaining games and have the Clippers lose to the Grizz. If that happens then the pick would move up to 7th, which would be very nice. Charlotte definitely just needs to win one more so that we dont have to worry about them sneaking up on the Clips.

Also, I dont really see the T-Wolves winning any more games, but if they could pull one off against a Houston team that won't care in the finale then we may be in business. Of course, that's assuming the Cavs aren't going to win anymore games, which with their recent surge in play, and the low quality of their opponents doesnt seem too favorable.

If I'm not mistaken, since the lottery has been in place, I think the team with the worst record has only got the first pick twice. So even though we winning games, I think we're better off that way.

We're not better off.

The worst team has a 25% chance at #1. Given that there is a 75% chance it goes to someone else, its not shocking that the worst team hasn't scored that often. That past performance has nothing to do with what will happen this year. In no way shape or form is it better to have a 20% chance than a 25% chance.

With yesterday's win the race is officially over too. Minnesota shelved Love a couple weeks ago and is clearly tanking intentionally. It was a wise decision that worked. We'll see if it pays off or not.

The only upside to any of this for us is for the 'lottery is rigged' conspiracy theorists. There are business and sentimental reasons for gifting the Cavaliers the top pick, now you can add rewarding the only team in the bottom 5 that isn't tanking to the list.

Ehhhhhhh... Say what you want but I'm almost sure the person with the worst record is not getting the first pick this year.

Statistically speaking, you have better odds if you have the worst record. Historically, you have a better chance if you do not have the worst record.
Well at least we're not Detroit!
