I for one think the Pacers will do more than just slip into the playoffs and go quietly in the first round. As long as they stay reasonably healthy they will give any team in the east a good run imo. They are built in the old east style of teams, big in the front court and they seem to want to bully their way to wins. I dont see Wade, Lecon, or Wall waltzing to the rim against the Pacers.
I really like the acquisition of Hill for them, he is one of those players that isnt really great at one particular skill, but is a very good all around player, a glue guy that all good teams really need. I dont think Granger is a superstar type, but he is as competitive as they come, and he, West and Hansbrough wont back down from anybody. With Hibbert inside they should have a chance against anybody in the east.
I liked the fact that the Cavs didnt back down last night, all to often in seasons past the Cavs wouldnt stand up in that type of game, with Lecon crying about contact the team seemed to follow his lead. I think coach Scott's competitiveness is rubbing off on his players, which is a good thing imo. Its too bad Kyrie missed that last shot in regulation, but it was great to see him get to the rim even though the Pacers knew he was going to take the last shot. Maybe missing it will add fuel to his fire, and of course each loss is one loss closer to the first overall pick.
