No trolling will be allowed. Will the Cavs extend their meaningless winning streak or will they lose again to the Raps for the 3rd time this season?

LOL @ the pre-game troll warning... I am in full favor of losing for a better pick, but I DEFINITELY want Irving to play well so Raps fans can stop saying dumb things like "Jose owns Kyrie, its just the facts" lol

Irving playing well might not mean much considering Jose is likely still out though. Btw, most Raptor fans want to lose so good luck and get a win tonight.

^^ I am sure most Cavs fans wants to lose as much as Raps fans do. A lottery pick in the upcoming draft will obviously be better than losing to Miami or Chicago in the first round.

BTW, I hope Raps fans don't take it offensively when I say that every time I make a game thread for a Raptors game, I always think of trolls coming to our board.

I am not trying to single you out, but do we really know this to be true? People seem to make statements like this so definitively, yet so casually. For me, I think getting our young guys playoff experience can have as much impact as moving up a few spots in the draft, if not more. Yes, that all depends on how the young guys play, but does not the same thinking hold true for our future draft selections?
Well at least we're not Detroit!

With the way Kyrie plays in 4th quarters, I kind of want to see if he can play like that for a whole playoff run. I can live either way. Part of me really wants the good pick and part of me is excited about getting back in the playoffs just one year after LBJ abandoned ship.

Next few games are huge, 3 of the 4 games are against teams which we are in the running against in the lottery. We need to either start losing tonight or start bash the *** out of these weaker teams. No in between.

Also, still no recent update on Andy? arent we getting close to his return date?

They are saying he will not be evaluated until next week. Is it me or was it done purposely so they can lose some games and trade some guys at the deadline. Might have backfired

And at McFly:

You raise some good points and considering the draft is so deep, we might be able to get a player at 15-16 (Terrence Ross??) who would fit a big need. Also - if we trade Sessions for a 1st (Sam Amico on twitter saying LA is now showing more interest) for say the 21st pick, it gives us more flexability.

Cavs could also potentially trade 2013 pick to a team with 2 picks in 2012 draft. UTAH or NO?

So far, Kyrie has had his 2 worst games against the Raps. We'll see if that's an aberration or a trend.

Bargnani is back but Calderon might not play.

I was reading the preview and it said we haven't won 4 in a row since Lebron was here. I'm really having a hard time deciding whether or not I want us to hit the skids again or make a run for the playoffs. The amount of schadenfreude generated by us ousting the Knicks from the playoffs would be enough to sustain me for several years.

I haven't been following the Cavs much this year, but I'm wondering how Tristan has been doing? I'm not sure how many of you guys wanted Jonas last year either but do you guys still feel you made the right draft choice?

While I don't mind the Cavs making the playoffs at all, I think that aquiring young talent in a pretty deep draft will be far more beneficial than going up against the powerhouses in the East and probably getting swept. We still have a lot of holes to fill out in the roster. Like how are we going to replace the scoring from Jamison and/or Sessions when they are most likely gone from the team after this season? Or who will play SG for us? I sure hope it's not going to be AP.. I personally wouldn't mind it if we drafted Beal, Lamb, or someone else. Basically, I don't want for our team to end up being like Atlanta. Being stuck in mediocrity and never making it past the second round. Rebuilding through the draft is the only way we can truly improve the roster. We sure are not going to attract any free agents and our trade assets don't have much value.

It is still too early to tell. Ask us again when Jonas is playing in the NBA and when Thompson gets more playing time. I believe he is only averaging like 18 MPG.

I think it would be more accurate to say that as we seem to be trying to follow the OKC model as best as we can, this team hasnt even gotten a second piece through the draft ala Durant/Westbrook, let alone the third like Harden. Obviously making the playoffs would benefit the younger players here, but this is still a talent starved roster beyond Kyrie.
We had a superstar surrounded with role players and couldnt get it done and there has been much talk of tanking for several high picks, which while it is no guarantee of anything at least give people the impression that we are stockpiling young talent.
I cant say definitively whether making the playoffs, or moving up a few spots is more beneficial for the team as a whole but I agree it would certainly help Kyrie, Tristan, and others and to make the playoffs. And it would also add some needed excitement and maybe bring back some of the casual fans.

Hes had a better rookie year than expected. I think hes going to be a great rebounding and defending PF/C. He needs work on offense obviously. I wish we would have taken Biyombo or Jonas, but I love his game. Hes the kind of player who helps teams win games. I think he will always be viewed as overdrafted by casual fans, but I think our front office is probably very happy with him.

Well, quality loss. If we beat OKC and Denver on the road I take a loss to Toronto every other night. A shame Toronto can win a couple games in a row as we could really use them to pass us.

That trade GSW just did is fukking awful.

Pretty remarkable the Toronto is several games behind us eventhough they've beaten us 3 times. They just can't beat anyone else it seems.

Well that settles it. Resume the tanking!

It is up to the Bucks to unseat the Knicks.
