Why not take a chance on Greg Oden

Post#1 » by DelontesLip » Sat Mar 17, 2012 2:04 pm

It will take a lot of patience and little money at this point. Why not bring Oden back to Ohio and hope his upside comes through?

Didn't you guys have Greg Oden's son just 2 seasons ago??

JUST kidding. Greg Oden is a major risk, your only chance will be a miracle that Oden can stay healthy.

He hasnt played a basketball game in over 2 years. I don't think it's worth the risk. But who knows, he would probably be better than Hollins.

Yeah Hollins definitely isn't the long term answer. As a Buckeye/Cavs fan you can't help but root for Oden's upside.

If you can get him here for the minimum or close, but there is no way you could rely on him ever playing to his potential. He seems to be more interested in playing for Indiana reportedly.

He's from Indianapolis isn't he? We did pretty well after Z was down for a number of years. No way are people going to offer him a ton so he does get a chance to pick where he wants to go.

I've always assumed that he will sign with the Heat for near the league minimum and suddenly be healed.

Hopefully he's suddenly healed but in Cleveland, Indy, or wherever Conley is

FYI, Oden is out for the next season as well. The soonest he'll get to play ball again if nothing else sets him back would be the 2013-2014 season.
