I'm finding it hard to find deadline details for Gibson's option. It appears that about half of his salary is guaranteed for next year.
What is the prevailing opinion on him as a player? I would probably just pay the 2.3million and let him go, but I understand I have Boobie fatigue for the first time in my life.

He's an excellent 12th man.

If he is healthy, I would keep him around. You can never have too much shooting, and if (i-f), he can stay healthy, he definitely has a place on this team. Plus, if we are able to get someone like Wroten with one of our 2nd round picks, Gibson would be an ideal pairing off the bench. With that being said, if we were in a position where dollars mattered, adios Daniel-san.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

He's actually a decent player during the rare times he's healthy, but has he been healthy since his rookie year?

Only a couple holdovers left, but I don't mind Gibson still being around. He's a solid role player and I believe he's one of only six guys under contract. This isn't the time to dispatch him just for the sake of dispatching him.

Re: Daniel Gibson's option
Have to agree that I'd like to keep Gibson as a bench guy & mentor. If he's healthy, he is a good weapon off the bench. He also happens to be a fan favorite - so I don't see the Cavs dumping him unless it's part of a bigger trade.
