I cleaned up several of the random Barnes threads on this board and put them all together.

Although I must again reiterate that Barnes will only be our pick if MKG is not available, it seems like for some strange reason he is still a hot topic, so please dont start any new topics about him and just post in here.

Man, just because you don't like Barnes doesn't mean I'm trolling. I like the Cavs and want them to draft the BPA.

You make post after post in here about the Thompson pick like it greatly upset you. Then when you make this same exact thread in the NBA draft forum you make it really vague asking the general population if you think Barnes got a top 4 guarantee. Then you post the same **** tweet as your source in here, title it 'Introducing Harrison Bust your newest Cavalier' and your only comment is 'time to accept it'.

Your just trying to troll. You didn't make the same thread for the Bobcats.

For goodness sake I am not trolling. I am a huge fan of Irving and I want him to succeed, period. I loathed the Thompson pick, but why should you have a problem if I do? It was a terrible pick. And i didnt post this on the Bobcats because they havent even worked him out yet at the time. The most logical team to offer a promise is the Cavs. I can't wait to laugh at your disappointed face when they do. How is it a **** source when it's true. People these days, quit your denial.

Where were you during the season if you are a huge fan?

Where was I? Sitting back and enjoying Irving's greatness. Big reason I want the Cavs to draft Barnes is so they can have someone to challenge LeBron for points every time they match up. Just like the Pierce/ LeBron battles or the Durant/ LeBron ones. The Cavs will never get this opportunity again to draft a high potential small forward. From now on they will gradually rise into the playoffs, I am predicting at least 35 wins this year. Then 40+ the next. If say, they draft a small SG like Beal in this year's draft, the only way they'll be able to get a competent SF is through the weak free agency year after year. Even then, it will be some role player like Battier or some crap. No, we need a star at that spot to trade points with LeBron.

at 4 pick Barnes, then somehow turn 24th+2 2nd round picks (add some cash may be) to another top 10 pick, take Jeremy Lamb, there you have it

AV
Thompson
Barnes
Lamb
Irving

that's a pretty good potential lineup

I fail to understand why any team would trade a top 10 pick in a good draft for some late picks and cash.

That's literally never going to happen.

The best chance we got is flipping AV + taking biedrins contract for the 7th pick.

If GSW offers this you take it, but I think they will be looking for a SF, anyway you can use 2 early 2nd rounders to get a middle pick like 15-20 then combine that + 24th for a top 10 a team like New Orleans that need depth would go for that I guess or may be Detroit

I think Varejao would be a good fit in Houston if they want to retool to win now. Courtney Lee(s&t)/#14 for Varejao/#24/#34. Draft MKG, start Lee at the 2, and then grab the best player available, Waiters or Moultrie?, at #14.

That might be bit too ambitious, If we can flip 2 2nd rounders and the 24th into a mid teen that would be great.

This, this I take. However seems like Houston highly values mid first rounders, and they were pretty good at turning them out in recent years.

I like the idea here, but who exactly plays C for us then? Moving 24 in the deal means we almost have to go big at 14 which kind of negates the whole thing imo. I like Lee, but trading big for small usually just isnt a good idea.

McFly likes Drummond at 4.

I think giving up Andy and #24 for #14 is a waste. He's worth far more to us than that.
