They actually consider Varejao as a "throw-in" on the 2nd for 4th/24th trade.

Why are we poor Charlotte fans??? if you poll our fanbase we're actually happy w/ our team right now, not with having the worst record of all time but w/ the decision to get bad to rebuild and we we're happy w/ the Ben Gordon trade and would be happy to pick #2, but if we can get something else out of it even better. Dont get the Poor charlotte part....

Nothing poor about that deal for Charlotte. Its exactly the type of deal we should be looking for and pretty similar to the deal that netted us Kyrie.
They are definately in the driver's seat this draft and I wouldn't be at all suprised if they extracted value from us in a trade without giving up anything of value to them.

At this point though it seems like the Cats are just being greedy. We were all set to give them an additional 1st - 24th, just to move up 2 slots, which I believe is a great trade for Charlotte. Now they are asking for Thomas to be included. Its just too much

I personally believe Charlotte is secretely becoming just as enamored with Beal as all the other teams, and want a lot from any other team to move up and get him.

Wash fan here, curious about Cavs fans' perspective:
If Beal and MKG are roughly equivalent talent wise (a common opinion, though one your FO might not share), why do you think there's been so much talk about the Cavs moving up to get Beal?
My (outsider's) opinion is that, of Beal and MKG, MKG's the better fit for the Cavs, as he's an explosive athlete with a questionable shot, so that would seem like a good fit with Irving, a very good athlete with a great shot. I prefer Beal for the Wiz using the opposite justification: Wall's an elite athlete but can't shoot. I'd be happy with either one, however, and wouldn't even give up the 32 pick for Beal instead of MKG.

Re: Swap With Charlotte?
The theory is that Beal seperated himself from the pack and is considered the 2nd best player. I don't think there is league wide consensus of this or the Bobcats would probably just take him and not consider a trade for a pick they could likely buy.
I wasn't for the trade thinking Beal, Barnes, or MKG would be fine at #4. As soon as Waiters is brought into the discussion, I'm very eager for them to get that trade done, lol.
As for MKG's fit, I think he works just fine with Kyrie. The reason a lot of people would prefer one of the other two is that MKG's game is a little too similar to Tristan Thompson - in regards to scoring, or lack there of.

Re: Swap With Charlotte?
I think the team is higher on Beal due to the obvious need for scoring. With Antawn gone there is a huge void on offense, and Gilchrist's shooting problems lead many to believe he will have trouble scoring in the half court. IF the team does go with Gilchrist I would expect them to go after a shooter like Jenkins, Doron Lamb or even Fournier with one of their later picks in order to better balance the floor.
Just thinking about Andy, Tristan Thompson and Gilchrist in the front court trying to score I believe pposing teams would just pack the paint and dare the team to score from outside. That would put a lot of pressure on Kyrie and whoever our 2 guard turns out to be.

A backcourt of Kyrie-Beal would be lethal offensively. Just look at what Kyrie did without anyone spreading the floor last season.

I think most of us here believe Andy is more valuable than 24, so that is a moot point.
