not a cleveland fan but what struck me last year whenever i was watching the cavs on leaguepass broadband was how much time kyrie was spending on the bench. the thing that worries me the most about kyrie's development is... byron scott. kyrie went for 19-5-4 in only 30.5 mpg last year, if he doesn't give him close to 40 minutes a game next year, he shoudl be fired.
is this a concern among cleveland fans? has it been discussed in the local papers? has byron scott given any explanation for why is that so?

Re: Kyries's minutes
Byron is a great coach. When Kyrie slacked on defense or wasn't obviously giving 100% Coach Scott sat him. It wasn't a strategy 'rest him' kind of thing, it was a 'you're the star, if you don't play well you don't play' kind of thing.
The thing I really like about Scott is he's not pampering Kyrie. When LeBron would make a mistake on defense Mike Brown would just let him off the hook and be so privileged to be able to coach the great LeBron James. Scott doesn't have that attitude with Kyrie. Do it right or sit.

Re: Kyries's minutes
We purposely limited Kyrie's minutes because he only played 11 games in college and we didn't want to him burn out. Of course, he ended up getting hurt anyways, but we didn't want to put a bunch of mileage on him when we were obviously not a contending team.
There's no reason to think Kyrie won't be playing way more minutes next year now that he has a full year of NBA conditioning.
(PS - Kyrie was still 3rd in avg. minutes per game for a rookie... This is a total non-issue.)

Don't forget the lockout season.. The schedule was pretty brutal. And not to mention, Sessions took up some of his minutes before the trade. Kyrie will definitely play more minutes next season. Not a concern at all, Byron's job is safe.

Op probably wants Byron fired so his team can try to hire him. Lol, trying to start crap on a fanboard for no reason.
