should we have drafted Lillard?
Obviously would have been very counter intuitive to draft another PG after having Kyrie do so well.
But, both are scorers, both are bigger than your average point guard, you could run 2 point guard offense and put either on SG.
Dion's not much taller either, and is a combo guard anyway.

hindsight is 20/20.
but Dion isn't look bad at all. He might turn out to be the best SG in the class.

So far, the rookies with the highest PER are Davis, Lillard and then Waiters.

It's too tough to tell now, I like both Waiters and Lillard right now and don't really have a favorite between them. Waiters is probably a little smarter player then Lillard is

I'll still take Waiters when he has an off game and Lillard has another good game

I don't think so, can anyone recall a winning championship level team starting two point guards?

Lillard has not played any better than Dion. Maybe in the future he'll end up being the better player, but that is not the case right now.

Are you kidding me? Lillard has been balling! He's taking over games while Dion continues to shot sub 40%. I'm not knocking Dion either, I think he is special. Lillard has just been on another level.

Look at the date. Waiters stunk up the last 2 games, but he was quite effective before then.

Lillard is looking like the ROY at this point.

Pistons fan here, not trying to troll.
I'm not sure about the personnel fit on your team. IMO, you guys missed the boat on Valanciunas instead of TT, and definitely on Drummond instead of Waiters. (To be fair, I get that Drummond was considered a big risk by every team - but it's pretty obvious that if there were a redraft, he'd be the 3rd pick, behind Lillard, or even the 2nd pick). I cannot say that Waiters won't prove to be a better fit than Lillard - you guys absolutely had no use for a smallish ball dominant PG, since you've already got an elite guy there - and Lillard and Kyre would offer you no defense whatsoever.
Even if Waiters is a good fit with Kyre, building your team with an elite PG and an elite C makes a lot more sense than two guards. Imagine you guys with Drummond and Valanciunas - that would be very sick in a couple seasons. And you could have used Varejao to teach these two young stars, then traded him for another really valuable piece. Plus, instead of drafting Zeller, you could have picked a great shooting guard.
Now, I'm not sure where you guys head. Kyre plus Waiters could be a fine guard combo, but you've probably got to trade Varejao for some younger guy. The question is who do you get for him. I think your team is back in the position of hoping to find top big men in the draft. That's an iffy proposition.

Haha don't worry, you are not going to be called a troll.
The cavaliers were in love with Kid-Gilchrist but they could not get him unless they took on Tyrus Thomas contract, They liked Lillard but they already have Kyrie, They were disappointed in Barnes for not showing up in that tourney, and Drummond had a bunch of Red flags. They scouted Waiters for a whole year, basically he was our pick if mkg was off the board. Valanciunas did not want to be drafted by the Cavaliers( not sure if i want to believe that yet though) I'll post the the links to the interviews later.
Now on to Varejao. I honestly do not see a reason to trade him, unless we get a can't miss type of deal. Nerlens Noel or Alex Len are the only bigs I would want to be honest. Both would be great here for obvious reasons.
Not really that fond of Tristan anymore but hey, you never know what happens few years down the road. All in all, If Waiters and TT don't pan out Grant and Byron both need to get fired.

Re: should we have drafted Lillard?
Out of the 4 number one's I'll give give C. Grant some props for three of the four. TT is a bust no doubt. Waiters needs to work on his shot or stop shooting stupid ones. Otherwise, I'm the first one in line to say I was wrong in judging Dion too soon.
PS
Andy deserves a better team at this point in his carrier. If we can get some talented youth from a contender. He is one guys we should move for his sake not ours.
